Meet Angelique Atwell

Today we’d like to introduce you to Angelique Atwell.

Hi Angelique, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I am a proud Latina who is a San Antonio native wanting to help change the world one coaching session at a time.

For the past few years, I have been very interested in personal development and working on myself to become the best version of myself in all aspects. After dealing with self-doubt, self-esteem issues, a hint of bullying, and toxic diet culture, I was tired of not liking myself and decided it was time for a change.

Fast forward to 2020, I was married, mom to a one-year-old, and with a career. I realized how crazy life was and that taking care of myself was no longer an afterthought but a necessity for my overall health. I created a small online business that focused on self-care and self-love in the form of apparel and accessories for a quick, little reminder to take care of yourself.

That helped catapult me into the life coaching space when I realized that creating actual products wasn’t as fun or satisfying as connecting one on one with people that were customers or simply interacted with the brand. I decided to look into it more, read a couple of books and talked to an actual life coach.

I immediately gravitated to diving in more and eventually became certified a life coach. Then I began taking free clients to gain experience and start serving others.

Transparently, I am still pretty green in the industry but through my work with my clients and my own life experiences, I am able to offer a unique perspective. I am striving to relate to other women as a millennial woman, mother, working woman, or simply as a human.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
For the most part, it has been a smooth road for life coaching. As a two time small business owner, I figured out what did and didn’t work in my previous venture. Fortunately, I started life coaching with a clear view on how to delegate tasks. Of course, struggles are inevitable but navigating social media, marketing my business, and more while ensuring I give my clients the best service possible can feel overwhelming which is tough sometimes.

Although I have experience in marketing and branding, selling a service like life coaching is extremely different from selling most products. Many products on the market essentially sell themselves because of the appearance, functionality, and quality. For my services – I do offer some tangible and physical items but overall, I am selling myself. There won’t always be physical gratification like when you buy that new book or sweater you’ve been wanting so my approach and strategy have shifted and definitely an obstacle.

I believe strongly that some of the obstacles I faced were simply my own limiting beliefs trying to hold me back and fully pursuing this dream of mine. Overcoming those were super important and continues to be till this day.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
I am a solopreneur, mindset + life coach. My clients are millennial women looking to become the queen of their life so that they can live their best life. I coach my clients through utilizing mindset work, self-love, and accountability. These three things can and will help to shift and change someone’s life because once the shift happens inside then life begins to mirror that change.

When meeting with me, my clients enter a safe, filter-free, and open space to fully be themselves. Together we openly explore all ideas of what success looks like for them and celebrate them at all stages. I provide unbiased, undivided, and judgment-free perspectives to my clients that they might not be able to get from friends or family.

I want to help women feel limitless by stepping up and standing firm in their power by upholding their boundaries, keeping their standards high, and no longer settling for a mediocre life that society sells us on.

The thing I am most proud of in my brand is the transformation that women have seen in their lives like quitting the job they’ve hated for years, manifesting their dream home, doubling their salary, and no longer accepting things into their life that do not serve them. Being able to be a part of that is EVERYTHING for me.

I currently offer a 90 Minute Deep Dive, Month to Month Program option, a 3 Month Program option that can serve you at any time in your life. The programs are lightly structured around the three pillars of the brand but it will always be tailored to each individual client based on their needs.

What was your favorite childhood memory?
My favorite childhood memory was going to see Avril Lavigne as my first concert in the 4th grade. I have always been a bit of a rebel that marches to the beat of her own drum and watching her perform and just be herself was such a cool moment realizing that you can be successful and taken seriously in your craft even as a woman in a male-dominated industry like the rock and roll scene.

I didn’t fully understand that until now but I felt it in my heart that one day I would be able to live life on my terms but also making it my career while helping others. What that was, I wasn’t totally sure but now I am.
