Today we’d like to introduce you to Brittney Creager.
Brittney, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I started ATX Aesthetics in August 2021 when I was 24, with zero clients, a tiny suite, and equipment I found on Amazon and Facebook Marketplace. It wasn’t glamorous, but it was mine — and it was the start of something big. A few months in, I found out I was pregnant with my son, Eryn Reece. Two blessings at once: a new business and a new baby! After a quick maternity leave, I came back more motivated than ever. The business kept growing, I hired my first employee, and we moved into a bigger space in East Austin. Now, I’ve got an amazing team of three Aestheticians who truly are so amazing. We’re known for our results-driven treatments like DMK enzyme therapy, SkinPen microneedling, and Face Reality acne care but the real magic is the vibe. I’m still behind the treatment bed doing what I love, while also mentoring my team and growing the business. It’s been such a wild ride, and I’m just getting started.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Definitely not! Starting with no clients, no fancy equipment, and just figuring things out as I went was tough. Then finding out I was pregnant just a few months in added a whole new layer of pressure — but also purpose. Balancing being a new mom and a new business owner wasn’t easy, especially with only a short maternity leave. I’ve had moments of burnout, work and life balance, and the usual growing pains that come with scaling. But every challenge taught me something, and looking back, I wouldn’t change a thing.
As you know, we’re big fans of Atx Aesthetics. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
ATX Aesthetics is all about real results and good vibes. We pride ourselves on being one of the top acne clinics in Austin, but our love for skin goes way beyond that. From preventative anti-aging to acne care and overall skin health, we’re here for it all. We specialize in personalized treatments like DMK Enzyme Therapy, SkinPen Microneedling, and Face Reality acne programs — and yes, we love a good lash lift and tint too. But truthfully, it’s more than just skincare — it’s an experience. Our goal is to make people feel confident, comfortable, and educated about their skin. We keep things fun, welcoming, and never too serious. What I’m most proud of is the community we’ve built and the trust our clients have in us. It’s skincare with intention, and we’re only getting started.
Risk taking is a topic that people have widely differing views on – we’d love to hear your thoughts.
I don’t think you need to have it all figured out — sometimes you just have to bet on yourself and go all in. That’s how I’ve always approached business: take the leap, learn as you go, and trust that hard work will catch you. Scaling my business and building a team was one of the scariest (and best) risks I’ve taken. Letting go of control, trusting others with my clients, and moving into a bigger space felt like a huge leap. But I knew I couldn’t grow ATX Aesthetics alone. Hiring my first employee, and now leading a small team, taught me that risk is necessary if you want to level up. It’s not just about expanding physically. It’s about stepping into leadership, learning how to delegate, and investing in people who believe in your dream. It was definitely a leap, but one that’s paid off in the best way.
