Meet Bukki Sittler of Pie Jacked Bakery

Today we’d like to introduce you to Bukki Sittler.

Hi Bukki, We are so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
Pie Jacked was born out of family legacy and family love. Our family has 5 generations of pie makers and started developing food allergies that made our best love recipes no longer safe. Mama Joyce, who learned at the apron of her Grandma Buck, spent years reworking the family crust until it became just as tender and flakey as the original, but without the gluten and other problem ingredients. Bukki, named after Grandma and Grandpa Buck, learned from Mama Joyce and helped refine recipes and build a brand together. Mother and Daughter have been at it for decades but founded Pie Jacked in 2015. Named in honor of her first grandson Jack, Pie Jacked bakes in a dedicated gluten-free and top 9 allergen-free facility in the heart of Round Rock. Our sweet Jack has many food allergies that affect his quality of life. Other children and grandchildren also have shared food allergies. Still, Jack helped get the ball rolling on developing the different treats and staples we offer so that he could have a more “normal” experience with food and celebrations.

Has it been a smooth road? If not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced?

Pie Jacked Bakery is a dedicated gluten-free, vegan, top 9 allergen-free bakery, making everything in-house from scratch. We love what we do and the community we serve. Part of our purpose is to help provide safe and tasty options for celebrations and staples to help those affected by food allergies have a more “normal” experience. We have a fantastic selection of fresh items and frozen staples every day at our bakery, and we take orders through our website to be sure everyone can pick up what they want, even if it’s not the case that day. We even do a limited amount of customization, whether it’s celebration cakes or customized toppers for our cutie pies.
