Today we’d like to introduce you to Charisse Hobson.
Hi Charisse, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I graduated from Alcorn State University with a Bachelor’s degree in Mass Communications and a Master’s degree from Arkansas State University also in Mass Communications. After graduation, I worked starting out in Media and eventually transition into being an IT Project Manager.
Although I would work a 9-5, entrepreneurship has always called my name. Matter of fact, all my life I knew I wanted to be an entrepreneur.
After trying a few things, it led me to starting a food truck. One of the most exciting things about starting a business has been taking this blank canvas and using your creativity to build something special.
From the branding to the testing of different product flavors creating all of that led me to where rocket ice is becoming today.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Absolutely not! Lol. But I definitely wouldn’t change it for anything in the world. I could name so many things that didn’t make it a smooth road, but in the craziest way things always worked itself out. Honestly, you become the ultimate problem solver, but you learn so much about yourself that you didn’t know was in you. From funding to unexpected items needed, you name it, it has happened but I am better for it.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?

What sort of changes are you expecting over the next 5-10 years?
Hopefully, in this region people will know the different between Italian water ice and a snow cone! I definitely think they’ll have more places than now selling it.
