Today we’d like to introduce you to Christina Hynes.
Hi Christina, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I began my career in insurance as a secretary for a local agency, but after two years, I felt a calling for more. I earned my Property & Casualty license along with my Life & Health license, and in 2007, I officially became an insurance agent serving the Rockport/Fulton community and surrounding areas. For 5½ years, I worked with a captive agency, gaining foundational experience and building strong relationships. In 2013, I transitioned to an independent agency, where I served as both an agent and agency manager for nearly 10½ years. I oversaw three locations and loved every moment, mentoring producers, refining operations, and helping clients protect what mattered most.
Through those years, I learned the do’s and don’ts of running a successful business. But one thing was missing: I wasn’t running my own agency. I had ideas, goals, and a vision that could only be realized if I was at the helm.
In December 2023, my husband Michael and I took a leap of faith and founded Hynes Insurance Services Agency. Walking away from the accounts I had built over a decade was one of the hardest decisions I’ve ever made—but it was necessary to start fresh and build something that reflected our values.
When I saw the abbreviation for our agency, HIS, I knew it was meant to be. HIS Agency is more than a name; it’s a declaration of faith. We knew this journey would only be possible with His help, God’s help, and we’ve felt His guidance every step of the way.
Today, HIS Agency is thriving. We’re approaching our second anniversary with two locations, four producers, and a growing team. Every policy we write, every client we serve, is a reminder of the blessing this journey has been.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
While the road hasn’t been without its detours, the journey has been largely smooth. Our initial launch plans were set two years earlier, but circumstances led us to wait and in hindsight, it was for the best. The growth we’ve seen since then has been extraordinary, and we’re deeply thankful to our clients for their trust and advocacy. Their stories and referrals have helped HIS Agency flourish. At HIS Agency, we’re devoted to providing exceptional value and service. I believe wholeheartedly that God orchestrated this path, and His timing has proven faithful.

Can you share something surprising about yourself?
Something that might surprise those who know me professionally is my love for refurbishing furniture. It’s my quiet escape, a space where creativity meets restoration. I find peace in the process: spending hours sanding, painting, and reimagining a piece until my vision comes to life. There’s something deeply fulfilling about breathing new life into something old, honoring its history while giving it a fresh start. Much like my work in insurance, it’s about transformation, care, and seeing potential where others might not. Whether I’m restoring a vintage dresser or helping a client protect what matters most, I’m driven by the same purpose: to build something lasting, beautiful, and meaningful.
