Today we’d like to introduce you to Cierra & Blake Leavitt.
Hi Cierra & Blake, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
Blake started a YouTube channel when he was thirteen and immediately fell in love with videography. He attended film school and struck on his own soon after, pursuing wedding videography. Since then, he has grown a wide variety of interests in videography, from working with infamous coffee brands to working with aquatic and wildlife centers; it’s always been obvious he’s following his passion!
I (Cierra) pursued an education in psychology and life coaching, learning to help others achieve goals and learning thought patterns. I knew I wanted to use my education in the business world. I’ve also always felt drawn to creativity… upon graduating, my mom said, “I think for your graduation we should gift you a camera, not sure why… I just think you need it.” till my favorite camera to this day! I pursued a career in marketing and continued that path through college working for a luxury car brand and then with smaller businesses…still using my camera whenever I could!
This ultimately led to where we are today!
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Blake and I met and knew we were going to be best friends forever about 5 minutes into our first date. Blake taught me to use my camera even more, and we were able deepen our connection when it came to media and marketing. As time went on, work hours became longer and schedules were tighter as we planned our wedding. We honeymooned in Hawaii and realized we would probably not be able to come back (or just travel in general) for a long time due to demanding jobs. I remember telling Blake, “My dream is that we would be able to work and travel and be our own boss.” to that, Blake said, “Let’s pray about that and see what we can do.” He made a plan, prayed that The Lord would open doors that needed to be open, and shut ones that needed to be shut. We came home back to our jobs, and it was evident there were opened and closed doors. I put in my two weeks intending to take some time to breathe, but, as it turned out, we hit the ground running with our new company, “Revitalize Visuals.” Blake was able to put in his notice just two weeks later. The Lord has been SO good and has taken care of our every step. Meeting each other and pursuing our passion as a team has been a dream come true!
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about Revitalize Visuals?
We have specialize in media marketing… from social media advertising to posting to professional photo and video branding! We love to capture people for who they are in their most authentic form. We sit with you and discuss what it is that YOU do, who YOU are, and what your story is. We then do our best to translate this into media… we absolutely love getting to know people and hearing their stories. We make a friend at every shoot!
What do you like and dislike about the city?
I love the feeling of community despite the constant growth we seem to have! Living near downtown New Braunfels often feels like stepping into a Hallmark movie. The people here are so kind, and we have such a rich history and culture. Blake (my husband) and I try to attend every community event, from Wasselfest to Wurstfest to the farmers market and much more! We love to live it up!
