Today we’d like to introduce you to Hannah Jaramillo
Hi Hannah , please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
My journey into content creation started with my love for makeup. In high school, I enjoyed expressing my creativity through beauty—doing my friends’ makeup for special events and even filming a few YouTube videos. I always knew I had a creative side that needed an outlet.
After high school, I was always the person at events or in a room capturing moments—constantly taking pictures or recording videos. At the time, I didn’t really know how to share those memories in a meaningful way until I discovered social media as the perfect outlet to give others a glimpse into my life. By the end of 2021, I leaned into “day in my life” vlogs on TikTok, which helped me build a following that resonated with who I was.
Fast forward to mid-2023, I started sharing more of my experiences—highlighting coffee shops, small businesses, and lifestyle moments. In January 2024, I fully committed to content creation, blending my passion for beauty, my faith and storytelling. Now, I get to collaborate with brands, discover new products, and share my favorite finds while staying true to my love for community and connection. I’m incredibly grateful for this platform and the ability to inspire others while doing what I love.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Like any journey, content creation has come with its challenges. In the beginning, I struggled with self-doubt—wondering if people would resonate with what I was sharing or if I was “good enough” to pursue this seriously. It took time to find my voice, build confidence, and fully step into this creative space without fear of comparison or being judged.
Another challenge has been balancing content creation with my full-time job. My schedule can be busy, and finding time to create while staying consistent hasn’t always been easy. But because I love what I do, I’ve learned to make time for it, finding joy in the process rather than pressuring myself to have everything figured out perfectly.
I have given myself much grace and I have learned to take breaks off social media when necessary. Sometimes you have to ground yourself and remember that life outside of social media needs you!
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
Outside of content creation, I work in public health, focusing on community outreach and ensuring that underserved individuals receive the resources they need. This work has given me a deep appreciation for the importance of connection, representation, and making a difference in people’s lives. Through my job, I’ve also had the opportunity to step out of my comfort zone—presenting on health issues at conferences and collaborating with community leaders and organizations to create meaningful change.
Interestingly, there’s a lot of overlap between my professional life and my content journey. Just like in my public health work, content creation allows me to be in the community, meet new people, and share experiences that bring value to others. Whether I’m highlighting a small business, sharing a new beauty product, or simply documenting a part of my life, my goal is always to connect, uplift, and inspire.
If we knew you growing up, how would we have described you?
Growing up, I was always creative and deeply connected to my faith. I loved anything that allowed me to express myself, whether it was doing makeup, taking pictures, or filming little videos just for fun. Even as a kid, I enjoyed storytelling in different forms, and looking back, I realize that my love for content creation was always there—it just took time for me to fully embrace it.
I grew up in East Austin in a home that prioritized faith, family, and community. My parents always took us everywhere—whether it was exploring different neighborhoods, visiting small local spots, or spending summer days at the pool. Because of that, I’ve always felt a deep connection to this city. In many ways, content creation reminds me of being that little girl with my parents, always discovering something new.
Seeing Austin through the eyes of a local and witnessing how much it has changed over the years is always a little bittersweet. But even with all the changes, I love finding the hidden gems that still make Austin feel like the city I grew up in. No matter how long I’ve lived here, there’s always something unique to experience, and that’s something I love sharing through my content today.
