Hi Hilary, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
TrueCore Georgetown opened 6 years ago on the square. We recenlty moved to the west side of Georgetown on the corner of Williams drive and Shell Rd. TrueCore Fitness in Georgetown brings a modern farmhouse vibe to boutique fitness. With two thoughtfully designed rooms, TrueCore offers small, supportive classes in Reformer Pilates, Barre, Yoga, Sculpt and Recovery. Here, community and personal connection are at the core of every workout — making it easy to show up for yourself and feel right at home.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
No small business is successfull with out challenges. We open our doors on 2019 right before the peek of Covid. Navaigating how to continiue to make TrueCore still all about community and health while being in a shutdown was hard, but we survived. Moving into a brighter and bigger space in April 2025 came with a new set of obstacles. Welcoming new and old clients alike to come and support our growth together, has been very rewarding.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
As a client turned studio manager I am beyond grateful that I found TrueCore GTX. I worked in consummer and small business banking for most of my career. When I found TrueCore I had no clue how the brand and the community would impact my life for the better, I found my community, I found what moved me and sparked joy. My personal fitness journey turned into my becoming Refomer Pilates Certifed Instructor. Now i’m the studio manager with multiple certificates and i”ll never look back.
