Jackie Pool

Hi Jackie, I am so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work life, how can you bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
Like many moms, I gained a lot of weight after my first son. I’m 5’1 and almost reaching 200lbs. I could stay home for the first year of my son’s life, and that year, I hated the person I saw in the mirror! I was always tired, didn’t have the energy to go and do things, and was always bursting out. I hated shopping until there was a day I didn’t want to be that mom anymore! I began walking, joined Zumba, and became an instructor years ago because I loved the community, the support, and the connections. I met with women who had a common goal of being healthier! Something that has always stuck with me is you are what your closest circle surrounds you with. My love for working out started there to lose weight, become stronger and fitter, and learn how to take care of my body for longevity. My self-worth and self-love differed from when I first became a mom in 2014. I have lost between all my 3 pregnancies about 100 lbs. and have been able to keep the weight off and have a sustainable lifestyle! I have 3 boys and have been married for almost 13 years, so we make it simple to have a healthier lifestyle.

The reason Happier You is a Healthier You began was because of 2020! The shutdown, the fake news, and the fear of living life and work became unbearable. I was a medical assistant for almost 10 years, and after the shutdown, I no longer wanted to be in an environment where I felt like I was not being of service! I went to a nutrition coaching school that aligned with my views and goals of being an entrepreneur. My mission is to help women find a good relationship with themselves, not just to lose weight but to understand what real sustainable and healthy nutrition is, which is physical, mental, and spiritual nutrition as well!

I started Happier You is a Healthier You LLC in 2022 to make things official and embrace the Entrepreneurial Mindset. Today, I work from home and am based in Kyle, TX. I help women with my 1:1 coaching who, like me once, have trouble losing weight, are always tired, need motivation and accountability, and don’t know where to start. I have a simple mapping system involving all 3 pillars of nutrition pillars with only two steps. The goal is to help as many women as possible and spread the word about natural health!

We all face challenges, but looking back, would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It’s always been; that’s challenging what makes life interesting. I have 3 young boys. One stays home with me, and the other two go to school and do routines and sports. I have a husband who also works from home, so scheduling has always been interesting in our household. Marketing and learning to set myself apart from a grown industry have also been challenging. I am blessed that my husband supports what I do because there are always ups and downs, and things happen where we have to pivot and change! I still would keep what we have and what I am creating because it’s important to me to spread my mission!

I appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about Happier You is a Healthier You?
Happier You is a Healthier You, a coaching business I run. I Coach women who struggle with their weight, sleeping issues, hormones, accountability, and mindset beliefs. I have a program that is focused on all 3 pillars of nutrition, which are physical, mental, and spiritual nutrition, and that is what sets me apart; health is more than looking good, which is a plus; health is more than me telling someone what to do, health is more than eat less exercise more. In my practice, we work as a team to achieve the desired goals and maintain a lifestyle. The hardest part of losing weight in this century is keeping the weight off and having a sustainable life that keeps you healthy, energized, and happy.

I’m proud of my brand because it is what I do, live, and who I am. It’s not a shortcut, a fad, or a diet. It is how I want to live every day, and it works. You gain so much time, you save so much money, you enjoy life so much more, there is no shame, there is no guilt is a simple lifestyle with good habits. Before I work with someone, I always offer free consultations. I need to get to know someone before we tie the knot because I want them to understand exactly what they need. We start our mapping work there. I get to hear the women, see where they are, and explain where we will end up. There are two ways I work with my clients. First is just one session, which I call a personalized protocol. We go through a mapping system and lifestyle decoder, which is a 90-minute consultation. I recommend this to someone who wants to try it on their own and is looking for support!

My 3-month coaching program, the HABITUAL SUNRISE MAP, helps you develop new habits for better health, including testing to make it personalized along with a genetic decoder. And lifestyle decoder. Make weight loss simple; it will restore your sleep, manage your stress, add time to your life, and give you a body you feel proud of! The program is again 12 weeks; you get weekly coaching calls for accountability and full support in those 12 full weeks.

We’d love to hear what you think about risk-taking.
Taking risks is just part of life; if you don’t take risks or chances, then you will always have the lingering thought of what if? When you do things differently, family and friends might not support you, but what I have found interesting in this way of living is the most excellent support comes from strangers and other entrepreneurs who are trying to grow as well. My most significant risk was leaving something I was comfortable with for so long, the 9-5 job, and venturing and figuring out everything I had set out to build for my business from start to finish. I would call myself a risk taker because this is never a sure thing; there is always some doubt and fear, but I just take it daily.
