Today we’d like to introduce you to Jordan Moore.
Hi Jordan, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I started doing my own hair in 2015 after I graduated high school. I started experimenting in college and mostly did my own hair and never really took it seriously. I started practicing on my teammates and watching multiple youtube videos. After I moved back to Texas after some time, I started my business 02/22/22.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back, would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It has been smooth other than some clients coming in without their hair blown out. I made sure to emphasize that when revamping my website.
Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
The name comes from my alter ego, otherwise known as “Amazonxo” or just ‘Amazon’ for my height and beauty (: I specialize in Knotless braids or faux locs and just doing hair in general, I don’t believe there is anything specifically that I specialize in yet other than being tender head friendly. I believe my soft touch separates me from others because styles usually cause tension, headaches, etc. I’m proud to have created something I can call my own, and my business takes after my pride and joy, aka me. I try to please everyone and create the style that YOU want and that you’re comfortable with!
Do you have any memories from childhood that you can share with us?
Going swimming with my siblings and playing outside with my friends. Not thinking about responsibilities.
