Meet Justin Staples of JS Interactive, LLC

Today we’d like to introduce you to Justin Staples.

Hi Justin, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I moved to Austin from Milwaukee back in 2014, at a time when I was still finding my footing and trying to grow my agency, JS Interactive. I loved Milwaukee, but I hit a ceiling. Friends kept telling me Austin was becoming an incredible tech hub; fast-growing, collaborative, and second only to Silicon Valley in energy and innovation.

So I took the leap. And honestly, it was one of the best decisions I made for my business.

I fell for Austin right away. The people are awesome, the openness, the way business feels more like community than competition. I met entrepreneurs at every stage of their journey, built real relationships, and partnered with SMBs across all kinds of industries. That environment gave my business the room it needed to grow.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
I’ve always had a soft spot for small businesses. I am one, and I know exactly what it feels like to grind, to stretch a dollar, and to build something brick by brick.

Working with small businesses comes with its own set of challenges; budget is one of the biggest.

Every expense is a decision. Every investment has to count. That’s why I put so much focus on helping business owners understand where their money actually produces returns, especially in an industry that offers a thousand possibilities, not all of which are meaningful.

A lot of my work centers on brand marketing, which isn’t a quick sprint. It’s more like a marathon. Building a brand that people remember and trust takes time, and it’s easy for businesses to get discouraged when the payoff isn’t instant. That’s where communication becomes everything. Regular check-ins, honest conversations, and clear expectations to keep everyone aligned.

Alongside the communication comes the data, right? Showing real progress, even if it’s gradual. When clients can see the story in the numbers, it builds confidence, trust, and momentum. This is the work I love most.

Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about JS Interactive, LLC?
JS Interactive started in Milwaukee and expanded into Austin back in 2014. We’ve been fully remote ever since, long before remote work became mainstream during COVID. It worked for us, it worked for our clients, and it became part of how we operate today.

Our team is made up of seasoned, reliable consultants who’ve been in the digital trenches for years. Together, we cover the full spectrum of digital marketing:

SEO (plus all the new acronyms that keep popping up — AEO, GEO, you name it)

SEM / Paid Ads

Social media support

Content strategy

Content creation, marketing, and distribution

Custom web design and development — WordPress is our playground

Consulting

CRM and other software integrations

AI prompting, automation, and adoption

We care deeply about the work we do, and we’ve helped businesses across a wide range of industries, inside and outside Wisconsin and Texas — grow leads, boost visibility, and hit record sales.

But what really defines us is the way we work with people.

We build long-term partnerships. People should never feel like their experience with us is transactional. We pour our energy into helping clients succeed because their wins are our wins. One thing clients mention again and again is how accessible, responsive, and transparent we are. It’s a simple thing, but it matters — and it’s something we never take lightly.

What was your favorite childhood memory?
I grew up in the Caribbean; Jamaican by birth. And our family home was tucked away in the country. A river wrapped halfway around the property, so naturally, the house had a name: Riverhouse.

When I was a kid, my brother and I would wander down to the river with nothing but time on our hands and come back with crawfish for the pot. Fresh catch, straight to a boil the second we got home.

And at night, we’d be out in the yard with our grandfather, glass jars in hand, catching fireflies like it was the most important job in the world.

It’s kind of random, but those moments stick with me. Simple, free-spirited fun that shaped a lot more of who I am than I realized at the time.
