Meet Katrina Bolton of Seda Laser & Aesthetics

Today we’d like to introduce you to Katrina Bolton.

Hi Katrina, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I’ve always known I wanted to build something of my own — something deeply rooted in intention, care, and community. I grew up with an entrepreneurial spirit, but I didn’t always know what that would look like. What I did know was that I loved helping people feel confident in their own skin.

I started my journey in the aesthetics world working in medical spas throughout Austin, learning not just the technical side of laser hair removal, but also how deeply personal this experience can be for people. I saw how transformative it was when clients felt truly seen, cared for, and understood. Over time, I noticed there was a gap — high-quality technology existed, but the experience often felt transactional, rushed, or intimidating. I knew there was room for something more intentional, holistic, and elevated.

That vision became Seda Laser & Aesthetics — a boutique laser studio built on warmth, inclusivity, and results-driven care. I started Seda with one laser, one room, and a belief that when you create something with heart, people feel it. I learned everything first-hand: from client care to branding to scheduling to cleaning the studio myself. It was humbling and beautiful.

Today, Seda has grown into a brand and a space that I’m incredibly proud of — serving hundreds of clients, collaborating with local creatives, hosting events, and becoming part of the Austin community in a meaningful way. What keeps me inspired is the relationships we build — the stories shared in the treatment room, the women cheering each other on, and the confidence that radiates when someone feels truly at home in their own skin.

This journey has been anything but linear — but it has been purposeful. And I’m only just getting started.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Not at all — and I think that’s what makes the journey meaningful. When I started Seda, I didn’t come from money, investors, or a perfect roadmap. I was learning everything in real time — navigating business licenses, researching laser technology, building my brand identity, and figuring out how to position Seda as something different in an industry that can feel very saturated and transactional.

One of the biggest challenges was trusting myself — choosing to step into entrepreneurship at a young age and believing I could build something high-end, meaningful, and deeply client-centered without waiting for permission or “the right time.” There were financial risks, long nights, days where I questioned everything, and moments where the vision felt bigger than the resources I had. I was the receptionist, the provider, the marketer, the operations manager — all at once.

But through every challenge, what kept me grounded was my purpose: creating a space where people feel seen, cared for, and confident in their skin. The road wasn’t smooth, but it shaped me into a stronger founder — one who leads with intention, gratitude, and belief in what Seda stands for. The struggles made the wins that much more meaningful. And honestly, I wouldn’t change any of it.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
Seda Laser & Aesthetics is a holistic laser hair removal boutique in Austin. We specialize in providing high-end, results-driven laser hair removal using the Candela GentleMax Pro Plus — one of the most trusted and effective medical-grade lasers in the industry. But beyond the technology, Seda is rooted in something deeper: intention, warmth, and care.

I created Seda because I saw a gap in the beauty and aesthetics industry — where treatments often felt transactional, rushed, or overly clinical. I wanted to build a space that felt personal, elevated, and truly client-centered. When someone walks into Seda, they’re not just a time slot in a schedule — they’re cared for, supported, and educated throughout their journey. Everything from the treatment room design to the way I communicate with clients is done with the intention of creating comfort, trust, and long-lasting confidence.

What sets us apart is our holistic approach. We don’t view laser as a one-size-fits-all service — we look at lifestyle, hormones, medical history, skin sensitivity, and hair growth patterns to create truly tailored treatment plans. My clients know I remember them, their story, their progress, and where they are in their journey. That level of personalized care is rare — and it’s the heart of the brand.

Brand-wise, I’m most proud of the feeling Seda creates — the calm, the care, and the confidence. It’s a space built with intention, love, and real connection. It’s not just about being hair-free — it’s about feeling more at home in your own skin.

What I want readers to know is: your beauty routine doesn’t have to be high-maintenance or overwhelming. Laser can simplify your life in the most empowering way — and when it’s done holistically and thoughtfully, the results speak for themselves.

Is there a quality that you most attribute to your success?
I would say the most important quality in my journey has been resilience with intention. Entrepreneurship is not linear — there are highs that feel surreal and lows that test everything you think you know about yourself. What has carried me through is the ability to stay grounded in my purpose, even when things feel uncertain or heavy.

I show up every day with the mindset that I can learn anything I don’t yet know. If I don’t have the answer, I’ll find it. If something doesn’t work, I’ll pivot. If there’s a setback, I use it as data, not defeat. That kind of resilience, paired with a deep sense of intentionality — knowing why I do what I do and who I’m serving — is what has allowed Seda to grow into something meaningful, not just profitable.

I don’t build from ego, I build from alignment. I listen, adapt, refine, and stay committed to creating a brand rooted in care, quality, and connection. That ability to hold the vision, even when the path is uncertain, is what continues to move me forward.
