Today we’d like to introduce you to Kylie & Morgan Wolf Meier.
Hi Kylie & Morgan, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
20/20: the year of perfect vision. We started to see more clearly on what we wanted our life to be and what we didn’t want it to be. We wanted our own space, our own time. We wanted to live on our own, be responsible for ourselves, live as close with nature as we could, and share our little expression of home with others. And so, after 12 years in Austin, and the world waking up, it was time to go. The stars aligned and Hidden Valley called us. We answered in August of 2020. There was absolutely nothing here, except raw land and one ‘Lost Croc’, which became our first way point (and can still be found in the tipi’s artifacts to this day). We moved out into the Lotus tent where we spent every free minute making trails and working with the nature. Then came the Tipi. Then the shipping containers. Followed by the pavilion and rain water system. In April of 2021, we moved into the newly built Treetop Cabin. What a dream! We started immediately on creating the Sunrise Cabin. We created the Soul Smile Yoga & Meditation Dome. In early 2022, we built and moved into the Heart Dome and started renting out the Sunrise Cabin and the Lotus Cabin. In the spring of 2023, some short term tenants left us their bus, which we gave some love and transformed into the School of Magic Bus! We began renting out the Heart Dome in August 2024. In 2025, we started renting out the Gnome Home Yurt. So we have a unique collection of rentals all with their own vibe. We love being here, we love creating with the land, and we love sharing it with others.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
There is no way we could have accomplished what we have so far without Divine guidance and support. So in that way, we just had to get out of the way (but our ego doesn’t want to!).
So much of what we have created has been completely new to us, so the daily struggle has been treating “mistakes” as mistakes vs. learning and growing. The struggle lives on to this day, BUT it is always in our mind that we are learning and not making “mistakes”! This helps with the struggle.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
We are working to create an authentic weekend getaway retreat space for people to refresh and renew from the madness of the “world”. A place where people can connect with their Souls and Spirit and Nature, together. We try to create a harmonious environment blending Nature with our own artistic expressions.
We also try to create experiences for guests that we would want, which means a few things to us:
1. Simple, low stress, easy
We communicate, soul-to-soul, no check in / check out times, we truly love helping and service.
2. Soul inspiration
We aren’t some big $ venture, we are doing this ourselves, piece by piece. You can hopefully feel the love, authenticity, and intention.
3. Affordable
Stays between $80–$130 / night + modest fees.
4. Private & Recharging Spaces
Each cabin has a fair amount of privacy and set apart from other stays. We deliberatly designed around the guest experience over piling a bunch of cabins in side by side. This also means we only have a handful of stays and the property mostly stays quiet all weekend long, with lots of space and recharging areas.
5. Fun areas to explore all over the 13 acre property
Which includes a community kitchen and hang out area, many hammock nooks, a yoga and meditation dome, a book room, scavenger hunt, disc golf, etc.
6. We also offer Experiences to help guests re-connect and relax
Such as sound therapy, tarot readings, “date night”, Star gazing picnic, etc.
Each of our stays is unique and calls when the time is right. We have our Treetop Cabin, the Heart Dome, our School of Magic Bus, The Sunrise Cabin, The Lotus Zome, and the Gnome Home Yurt.
