Today we’d like to introduce you to Leslie Perkins.
Hi Leslie, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
I’ve always loved baking and I’ve always wanted to start my own little business. One day I Basically just said why not just try. It’s a little odd that my previous occupation was fitness instructor. I wanted to have something that was mine to make happen. And I also wanted my kids to see that if you do have something yoh really want to do then with the planning and dedication you can make it happen. I also want them to see that things don’t just happen. I wish there was more to the story but it was basically just a random idea that I decided to gamble on.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Definitely not smooth. Still learning as I go. But throughout the process I made rookie mistakes that I’ve learned from and thankfully it’s given me the opportunity to help others not make the same mistakes.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
We sell freshly baked cookies and also offer coffee and ice cream. We also have merchandise like tea shirts and bags and other fun gifts. I think what sets us apart from
Other bakeries around the area is that we are small and we are local. I’ve enjoyed getting to know so many repeat customers and it’s a great feeling to know it’s a place that parents like to bring their kids after school.
