Meet Michael Bartlemay of Heroes Lawn Care

Today we’d like to introduce you to Michael Bartlemay.

Hi Michael, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for sharing your story with us – to start, maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers.
I’ve always wanted to be my boss. My dad owned a self-storage facility for 22 years, and my grandfather owned his insurance agency. Since leaving school and getting married, my wife and I have diligently saved a significant portion of every paycheck to buy a business or something else. When the opportunity arose to open a franchise, I immediately saw the opportunity that Heroes presented, and we’re excited to open on January 1.

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle-free, but so far, would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
Smooth isn’t necessarily the right word, but Horsepower Brands and the Heroes Corporate team have been amazing at helping us get started. My wife said best: “It’s like starting a business with training wheels.”

As you know, we’re big fans of Heroes Lawn Care of Northeast Austin. What can you tell our readers who might need to be more familiar with the brand?
We offer 3 service lines: fertilization, irrigation, and pet waste removal. We’re proud to bring all 3 of these to our customers and provide a top-tier service experience. Our most significant core value is to “make it right.” We believe in delivering excellence but know we’re all humans so that mistakes will happen. Our people and teams will have the autonomy and authority to make things right with our customers as best we can.

Pricing:

  • Pet waste removal services start at $15 per week
  • Our irrigation packages start at $225 per year
  • Fertilizer packages start at $70 per service with 50% off your first service
