Meet Morghan Browne of MyLagree

Today we’d like to introduce you to Morghan Browne

Hi Morghan, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I started doing Lagree a few years ago and instantly fell in love with the challenge and how it made me feel. I was a gymnast for 10+ years which caused a lot of body issues. After quitting gymnastics I could never find any type of workout that wouldn’t kill my body afterwards. Then I went through some health challenges that made it even harder to find a workout that I could do until I came across Lagree, it was exactly what I had been looking for.

My favorite part of my day started to become going to lagree class. The instructors at the studio I went to were so helpful and uplifting and I started to realize that I wanted to help others feel the same way. I went through the certification process and decided to open up my own private studio that’s focused on personal lagree sessions. The most important thing about lagree is having the right form which can be hard to correct when you’re in classes that are 15+ people. I also wanted to make it more personalized, focusing on whatever the client wants to focus on, listening to their favorite music, etc. My goal is to encourage and power people to feel strong and feel like they can do anything they put their minds to.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It’s been a smooth road so far, I just opened in April of 2024 so I haven’t had to face any challenges as of yet but am ready for any challenge that comes my way.

Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I think something that’s cool and sets me apart is that I’m currently the only studio in the Austin area where the focus and speciality is 1:1 lagree classes. So in each session you get individualized treatment, we’ll talk through any injuries you have and what we can do to protect those injuries, you can choose if you want to focus on a specific part of the body for that session or week. Each session is tailored to however you want it. You can choose the type of music you want to listen to.

Trying something new can be scary, so I wanted to create a space where people feel comfortable to step out of their comfort zone and try something new or something that might scare them.

The first thing we do for every new client is walk through what to expect, what lagree is, how the session will go, injuries, what they want to focus on, what kind of music they want to listen to, we’ll talk about the mind body connection which is a huge part of Lagree, and you’ll get a run through of how the machine works.

If we knew you growing up, how would we have described you?
I grew up in IL and loved hanging out with friends and family. I started gymnastics at 5 or 6 and loved it! As a kid I was always wanting to try new things, other than gymnastics it was piano lessons, horse back riding lessons or whatever my parents agreed to sign me up for! I loved reading and playing outside.

Growing up I was also super shy. I’m an introvert to the core but have learned how to use it as my superpower, which is part of the reason why I wanted to focus on 1:1 sessions, so that I can build relationships with all of my clients. When I started lagree I actually looked for a personal lagree trainer because I wanted that personalization to start before going to a lagree studio with huge class sizes. I couldn’t find it and that’s what sparked the idea of focusing on 1:1 sessions.
