Meet Noel Gaulin of East Austin

Today we’d like to introduce you to Noel Gaulin.

Hi Noel, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
Noel Gaulin has been with Creative Action for 16 years and is known to thousands of young people across the greater Austin area as Curly Fries. Sharing his radical kindness and joy for the arts, Curly Fries strives to inspire young people to be creative artists, critical thinkers, confident leaders and courageous allies. He currently serves as the Senior Director of Family Programs & Community Engagement.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Working alongside young people is exhausting!

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
Noel Gaulin is also an award winning actor who is currently on a national tour of his one man show adaptation of Kenneth Grahame’s “Wind In The Willows”.

What are your plans for the future?
Creative Action is hoping to move into a new permanent home where Curly Fries is excited to offer more programming and engage the community in new ways!
