Hi Pearls, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
“We are Pearls of Austin, a vibrant and dedicated community of 24 women who share a common passion for serving others and creating positive change in our world. As a non-profit organization based in Austin, Texas, we’ve been committed to empowering women, supporting local causes, and providing aid to those in need, both in our city and beyond, including our efforts in Africa.
Through our collective efforts, we’ve been able to make a tangible difference in the lives of many. From organizing charity events and fundraisers to providing essential resources and support, we’ve worked tirelessly to create opportunities for growth, connection, and transformation. Our initiatives have touched the lives of countless individuals, and we’re proud of the progress we’ve made together.
At Pearls of Austin, we’re more than just a group – we’re a sisterhood, a network of like-minded women who support and uplift each other every step of the way. We believe in the power of community, the importance of compassion, and the impact we can have when we work together towards a common goal.
As we look to the future, we’re excited for the opportunities to serve, grow, and make an even greater impact. We’re committed to continuing our work, inspiring others, and spreading love, kindness, and positivity wherever we go. With gratitude, empathy, and determination, we move forward, proud to be Pearls of Austin, shining bright and making a difference, one pearl at a time.
The Pearls of Austin has a rich history, evolving from Dynamic Women to Women of Solidarity, and now The Pearls of Austin. In the early days, the association was created to support one another through a mutual assistance system. Members contributed financially to help each other in times of need, family events, and difficult moments. It was a space where women could find sisterhood, encouragement, and stability while living far from home.
As time passed, the vision expanded. The association also focused on preparing its members for the future, especially retirement. Through regular meetings, savings initiatives, and shared advice, the women learned to plan ahead, invest wisely, and build security for themselves and their families.
Today, the mission has grown even bigger. Beyond supporting one another, The Pearls of Austin now extend their hands to those in need, especially underprivileged communities in Africa. Through donations, community actions, and charitable projects, the association works to bring hope, relief, and opportunity to the most vulnerable.
Together, we rise. Together, we give. Together, we shine.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
“We’re partnering with a non-profit org in Houston to send medical supplies to Africa, and we need your help! On March 22, 2026, at 9 am, we’ll be volunteering to help load a container bound for Africa. Meanwhile, Pearls of Austin is working to send our own containers of medical supplies, including hospital beds, incubators, and medication, to 10 hospitals in Africa, but we need help with shipping costs.

As Pearls of Austin, we’re a community of women dedicated to empowering women and serving our community in Austin, Texas, and Africa
with a focus on education, healthcare, and economic development . Our work is centered around community outreach, supporting local initiatives, and providing essential resources to those in need, both locally and globally, including our efforts in Africa .
We’re known for our compassion, resilience, and commitment to making a difference, and we’re proud of the impact we’ve made so far Our projects include supporting women’s health, education, and economic empowerment, as well as providing disaster relief and feeding the hungry.
What we’re most proud of is the positive change we’ve created in our community, and we’re excited to continue growing and serving alongside like-minded individuals Our work is fueled by passion and driven by the desire to create lasting impact

Can you share something surprising about yourself?
As Pearls of Austin, something surprising is that behind our community outreach and empowerment work, we’re a group of women who are also navigating personal journeys, passions, and challenges . Many might not know that our drive to serve comes from personal experiences and a desire to give back to our community .
What might surprise people again is that despite our focus on helping others, we also prioritize self-care and supporting each other through life’s ups and downs We’re a community of strong women lifting each other up

As the 24 women of Pearls of Austin, we’re thrilled to share that our community outreach efforts have been met with enthusiasm and support! We’ve been speaking to various groups in Austin about our project to send medical supplies to 10 hospitals in Africa, and everyone we’ve spoken to is excited about the initiative.
The feedback has been overwhelmingly positive, with many encouraging us to keep moving forward. However, we still face a significant hurdle: funding the shipment of the container to Africa. We’re working tirelessly to bridge this gap and are grateful for any support that can help us achieve our goal.
