Today we’d like to introduce you to Rachel Kaczkowski.
Hi Rachel, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I knew I wanted to be an entrepreneur since I was four years old. Growing up, I watched my dad work countless hours to build businesses to support his family. His drive inspired me to want to be an independent woman and work hard to help care for those around me. Once I graduated college, I got my “dream job,” working in home decor sales. I quickly realized that my desire to be an entrepreneur never faded. Although it was scary, I decided to leap and move away from all I knew. I got offered a position to run a tanning salon in a different state, and within two weeks, I had packed up and moved away from everything comfortable and known to me. I knew that going to run a business was what I needed to gain more clarity in my pursuit of being an entrepreneur. Most called me crazy for leaving a stable career and my family behind for the unknown, but in my heart, I knew it was the start of something I had dreamed of since being a little girl.
While running the tanning salon, I met some amazing people, a few of which are the same people who helped Contour Spa come to life. In the spring of 2022, Contour Spa was created. I had been living in Austin for almost a year and just went for it. On September first, we opened our first location, Contour Spa Austin. Within 5 months, our second location was open in the Austin area. We are now quickly expanding with plans to open our 3rd and 4th locations in the Austin area within the next month. Contour Spa is now helping create jobs and opportunities for fellow Austin residents, and that right there brings so much joy to my heart. I wake up every day so excited to show up 100% because I know I am getting to help others at the same time. I am proud of how far we have come, and I can’t wait to see our growth in the coming months. I truly feel so aligned; little girl Rach lives in her power.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
This has been one of the hardest things I have ever done. Mentally and physically. Between showing up every day and fighting the fires of being a new business owner to having a team who depends on me not to give up when things get tough. I have had to deal with major imposter syndrome that constantly creeps in. But even on the hard days, I know whatever I am going through is temporary. And the messy action will continue moving things toward the bigger picture.

Contour Spa is a fast-growing Cryo-Slimming and Wellness Spa with two locations in the Austin area and more opening soon. We specialize in body contouring services, cryo-facials, and localized cryotherapy sessions. Our newest location also offers red light therapy & Infrared sauna, and a lymphatic massage suit. What sets Contour Spa apart from others is that we are filled with a team who truly wants to leave each person that walks through our door in a better place than we found them. We want everyone to leave feeling more confident and excited about themselves than before they stepped in. Not only physically but mentally as well. This brand was created with a vision to help others gain more confidence. Our services are a tool that helps bring them deeper happiness within. I want others to always chase their dreams and follow desires that feel most aligned with them. We can accomplish our wildest dreams if we stay true to ourselves. Contour Spa is a place that welcomes everyone and helps each person leave in a better place than we found them.
How do you define success?
I define success as finding your true life purpose and living in alignment with that. When we find our purpose and passion, we are able to find joy in the littles of things and tap into a new level of fulfillment.
