Meet Ryan Glowka of Texas Paramotor Training

Today we’d like to introduce you to Ryan Glowka.

Hi Ryan, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
In my life so far, I have had one singular goal: to fly as much as possible.

I took my first solo paramotor flight at the age of 17, after years of saving for my flight instruction and equipment setup. I was hooked from the second my feet left the ground!

From there, my plan was set: I started flying everyday and learned from as many reputable instructors as I could while touring all over the country.

For those of you who don’t know what a paramotor is: it’s a backpack aircraft that folds down and fits into the front seat of my car! It’s a two stroke motor with a propeller and cage that I wear on my back. My wing is a fabric paraglider that I kite overhead, add power and just run into the air!

I can fly up to 14,000 feet or kick the treetops, all with way less regulations and licensing than a general aviation airplane!

Fast forward a few years and now I teach people how to fly everyday at my school: Texas Paramotor Training.

I get to fly every day and share my passion with others.

When I am not teaching I’m training for future acrobatic and slalom competitions. All while actively seeking brand partnerships for this next season! Want to change the social media presence of your brand? I’d love to help.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Chasing your dream and trying to make a living from your passion will almost never be a smooth road, there will always be bumps and bruises but that’s what makes it so worth it in the end!

Looking back, most of those potholes seem trivial when compared to the good that came from the struggle.

I think if we can all apply that perspective to the struggles we are facing now, it makes everything easier.

Because in 40 years we won’t be worried about the money, equipment, or employee problems that we faced, only the good that resulted later from us working through it!
