Hi Sabine, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I was born and raised in Heilbronn Germany…moved to Frederick, Maryland at the age of 27 .. I am now 66
My only daughter and her Family moved to Dripping Springs 4 years ago ,
I relocated from Maryland September 2024 to Austin Texas .
I have been a hairstylist for 32 years 10 of them I had my own business in Maryland… so when I moved here ,I knew I was not ready to retire yet
I LOVE MY JOB
I decided to rent a suite at Salon Mystique in BelTerra village Austin
I had been very successful and busy stylist/ owner in Maryland
So with me relocating, I needed to start from the beginning…Building a clientele
was challenging for the first 6 months
But I am now starting to have a steady clientele what I’m so grateful for
My message would be… age is just a number … go for it !
Most of my Clients are 50 and up
Staying sassy at any Age !
My specialty are short hairstyles
and I’m a European colorist..
Some of my new Clients became fast friends… I feel welcomed in to my new home… I am also a photographer… I love to make women look and feel their best
No matter there size or Age…
My oldest model was 105 years old for
my granny Glam photo shoot…

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Definitely some struggles…but that’s normal in the beginning…just can’t give up… keep going and staying positive
I love fashion and get dressed up for work… many clients see me as an inspiration…again AGE IS JUST A NUMBER !

Where we are in life is often partly because of others. Who/what else deserves credit for how your story turned out?
My Daughter is my biggest supporter
She believed in me when I was not sure
She helped me pretty much with everything to set up my business…so blessed to have her as my daughter 💕
