Meet Sara Golshani of CYCED Indoor Cycling

Today we’d like to introduce you to Sara Golshani.

Sara Golshani

Hi Sara, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, you could tell our readers some of your backstory.
Oddly enough, my husband and I are dentists and own a private practice (Serene Hills Dentistry) in Lakeway! He’s always had high hopes of having a second business (he wanted another dental office elsewhere, and I told him No, haha). I’ve had a passion for spin for about the last 8 years. One day, my husband presented the idea of opening a spin studio, and I didn’t even give it a second thought. We spent about a year and a half planning and building and opened our doors on January 1, 2023. We wanted a studio that was a true boutique studio, with no chain names and no chain feeling, just an actual boutique fitness space where people feel valued and loved. Anyone who walks in the door will agree that we accomplished it. We just hit our first anniversary and had a big party/celebration on New Year’s Day.

Please talk to us about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned. Looking back, has it been easy or smooth in retrospect?
I’d be lying to you if I told you it was like riding a bike (HA), but it’s presented its challenges. First, it was far more expensive to build than we ever thought it would be! We got midway through the project and slightly panicked financially, but luckily, we pushed through. What we thought would be a banging business right away took time. The slow months (summer) hit us hardest, but as a new business, we knew we needed to be patient. However, these last few months have significantly changed our class numbers, etc. (We are waitlisting on weekends, which is so exciting!). The word is finally out, and CYCED is on its way to exploding and changing more lives.

As you know, we’re big fans of CYCED Indoor Cycling. For our readers who might need to become more familiar, what can you tell them about the brand?
CYCED is beat-based indoor cycling. We dance to the beat of the music (on the bike!). We turn the lights low and the music up for an unforgettable party on the bike. It’s so fun you’ll forget you’re even working out. CYCED was built to bring people together. A headspace to clear out anything not serving you well and heart space to fall in love with the repeated feeling that clipping gives you. Our clients truly have become like family. We build commitment, community, compassion, and courage one ride at a time. I’m so in love with this place and the magic our clients bring to it every class. Our studio is state of the art with concert-quality sound and acoustics combined with countless professionally developed custom light shows. Our coaches are top-notch and will push you to the max. You have to experience it for yourself to understand it.

So, how can our readers or others connect or collaborate with you before we go? How can they support you?
It’s helping us spread the word about CYCED. It’s such a release, mentally and physically, that everyone should do it! Fitness is so necessary, especially with the pressures of today’s society, and we would all be a bit happier if we started a fitness routine.
