Hi Selma, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
In 2014, I started working at Mac Cosmetics. I learned so much working with the brand. In 2017 I leaped faith, quit my full-time job and started my own business doing weddings full time! After a year, I decided I wanted to expand my clients and start doing commercial work and started working with local brands in Austin. Ever since then, I have worked with so many amazing brands like Amanda Deer, Nina Berernato, Daisy Natives, and more to come. I’ve traveled to Palm Springs, California, New York City and Marfa, Texas- TWICE! I’m so damn proud of myself and what I’ve accomplished! 2021 is already 25% booked and I can’t wait!

I’m a Pro Makeup Artist + Hairstylist in Austin, Texas. Makeup- I provide airbrush makeup and all my service lashes. Hair- I specialize in giving you the best Victoria Secret Angel Hair. What sets me apart from others is that I’m great at what I do and love my job. I enjoy going to you and getting you glam and talking to my clients. I want to know you, but I also want to get you feeling and looking the best you have ever had!
Any advice for finding a mentor or networking in general?
What has worked for me is just being myself! Don’t compare yourself to other girls in the same industry!
