Today we’d like to introduce you to Shannon Taylor.
Shannon, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
In February of 2021, my husband decided to invite his whole family to Austin for my birthday in June. So I began to plan my birthday party. I had been seeing this 360 Video booth all over Instagram, I just had to have this at my party so I began looking for one in Austin, there wasn’t any. It was a short conversation with my two best friends Tasha and Felishia I told them I was think of starting this business, they were like go for it! The very next day, I ordered my booth. At the same time, I slid in about 10 of the more popular people and places DMs in Austin to say, “Hey, I have this new 360 VideoBooth” DJ Hella Yella is the only person that responded to me I didn’t have anything to show him how it worked or what the end result would be he just took a chance on me and invited me to come to his Pool Party. After that booking, I used the videos to run ads and I began getting a lot of bookings. By August, I had made most of what I spent back so I purchased my first Photo Booth. Then almost a year later to the exact date, I purchased another Photo Booth. In the first three months of 2022, I’ve done more events then I had done the whole of 2021. I’ve been contacted by Major brand to do event for the employees. It’s actual surreal, this was just a fun experience I wanted for my birthday that turned into my business.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
The road has not always been smooth, I have struggled with balancing my work-business-home life from the begin. I’m still employed, I work M-F from 7-4pm so there are some bookings I have to pass up.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I’ve basically mastered running my 360 VideoBooth and its program. But these two photo booths give me a run for my money every single event. As many events I done, I haven’t have any complaints from my clients, that what I’m most proud of. I believe I provide the best customer service is what sets me aside from everyone else, many of my clients have became real-life friends.
