Today we’d like to introduce you to Sudesh Acharya.
Hi Sudesh, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I grew up with cameras like my play toys. My father was a landscape photographer for ActOnAid humanitarian mission. It was not until my 30s, I realized this could be my business. I started small. A friend of mine helped me loan some amount to buy a new camera and my wife later helped promote me in her community.
In short 1 year of starting into the photography business. I was able to switch full-time to it.
I have always been a team worker and have always found good support around me. We worked with videographers, new photography enthusiasts and training them to build a solid team.
Everything has ups and downs and this is no exception. From lost partners to losing my backbone; my wife was a great tragedy this year. Still, my team uplifted me and helped me keep busy. And now we have a team of 5 and barely a week of break.
Hard-work and support count!
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I am a photographer and I own the Photo, Video & Livestream service company. We mostly cater to South East Asian community in Austin, Houston, Dallas, San Antonio, and more.
Knowing the culture helps to create what clients need.
The one thing I am proud of is every client says I am very patient. Which also surprises me… “are there impatient photographers? “
What quality or characteristic do you feel is most important to your success?
