Today we’d like to introduce you to Tianna Williams.
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I played basketball through my junior year of high school. I gave up basketball my senior year to take time to figure out what I was really interested in. After graduation, I had a lot of time to think because COVID had hit. I decided I wanted to try to model. I came across Meshaun Models LLC agency and Jessica Meshaun took me under her wing. She taught me the basics of the industry, built up my confidence, and understood when it was time for me to move on. In 2021, I joined NFG models. I have learned to be open to new opportunities not only with modeling but acting as well. I’m not only growing personally but can definitely see the development in my career.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
Definitely has not been a smooth road but it could always be worse. My main struggle is finding someone that I can relate to in the industry. I tend to not be tall enough sometimes, not skinny enough, or even dealing with my hair for shows can be a struggle. I also struggle with anxiety and have had to learn to work through it. I recently attended the Model and Talent Expo by Mike Beaty in Dallas, TX. I went there with hopes of furthering my modeling career. Speaking to the different agencies that were there, I realized that I need to start acting more. I was awarded the 2022 Female Actor of the Year Award. I was surprised and very proud of myself. NFG really forced me to go out of the box and start acting. It paid off.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
Currently, I am in school, working on a Fashion Merchandising degree with a minor in business. I model, act, and have begun styling on the side. I am most proud of the confidence I’ve gained over the last year. I am known for being well put together and for my punctuality. I think what sets me apart from others is my personality. I try and hype other women up. I have no problem sharing beauty tips, fashion advice, or even a compliment.
Who else deserves credit in your story?
I have been fortunate enough to have a team of supporters. From my parents and friends, photographers, management and people I have been meeting along the way. Everyone has been a cheerleader for me in different types of ways. Whether it’s money they’ve chipped in, advice for social media, free photo sessions, training, and even a shoulder to cry on. I have been blessed with tons of support.
