Hello! My name is Vanessa De La Cruz, founder & artisan here at Flower & Bee Synergy, destination mind-body-soul beauty!
With my background in beauty, motherhood, aesthetics, and a passion for non-toxic skin nourishment, I began my pursuit of a lip balm designed specifically for my son’s sensitive skin. In the beginning, I can recall my kids crawling at my bare feet while I whipped shea butter and honey masks. Those precious beginnings were the catalyst to our dream! Unlike other lip balms, our all-natural honey lip balm is made with recognizable whole-food ingredients and infused with local honey from Austin, Texas! Local honey is an amazing whole food ingredient to help facilitate & speed healing on all skin types and that’s why we infuse it in our Signature Honey Balm line & Lip Gloss line!

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
The journey has taught me to think quickly on my feet and I’ve had to learn some boundaries along the way but there’s nothing a mama can’t figure out. I’m sure moms can relate.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
So I actually attended Avenue Five Institute for aesthetics but instead of working at a spa I decided to take my knowledge and pursue a more natural route in beauty. At this point in my life I experimented with cold-pressed oils, shea butters, and essences for years before we sold honey lip balm. I even had children before anything was sold. My children changed my life! That’s when I decided to bring this skin nourishment to fruition.

Our subscribers of our Honey Lip Balm & Lip gloss have been the greatest supporters a single mama can ask for and of course, my first gen dad who in his lifetime went from child laborer to holding an engineering degree has taught me to become the relentless momma in beauty & wellness I am today!
