Today we’d like to introduce you to Amanda Love.
Hi Amanda, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
My path into wellness began through my grandmother, who opened a health food store in 1976 in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Her passion for natural healing and preventative care shaped my worldview from a young age. Being around that environment, I intuitively knew early on that this would be my path as well.
At nineteen, I studied abroad in Italy, where I was deeply impacted by how simply people ate and how extraordinary the food still was. Meals were made with high-quality, seasonal ingredients, prepared with care, and enjoyed slowly. That experience reshaped my understanding of nourishment and planted the seed for everything that followed.
After returning to the U.S., I moved to Northern California and began working in a professional kitchen at a retreat center and healing arts school committed to organic, natural ingredients. Cooking daily with whole foods and preparing meals for 100+ people at a time gave me a strong foundation as a natural foods chef. It taught me how to nourish bodies at scale while honoring quality, tradition, and intention, skills that would shape my career for years to come.
From there, my curiosity deepened into ancestral nutrition, inspired by the work of Weston A. Price, and later into functional nutrition and herbalism. Over time, my work expanded beyond the kitchen and into root-cause healing, learning to listen to the body’s subtle signals through muscle testing and functional tools.
Today, my work blends science with intuition. I support clients through functional wellness consulting, muscle testing, and heart-centered life coaching, with deep listening at the center of every session. At its core, my work is about helping people return to simplicity through real food, embodied wisdom, and a trusting relationship with their own bodies.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
One of my greatest challenges has been burnout, especially within the healing arts where cooking for others and supporting people’s healing day after day requires immense energy, presence, and care. Cooking for large conferences and retreats was both joyful and deeply rewarding, yet it also demanded a level of output that I eventually recognized was not sustainable for me. Over time, I’ve been called to slow down my schedule, create more spaciousness, and allow far more room for rest and integration.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I guide people toward deep, lasting healing by blending functional nutrition, muscle testing, knowledge of herbalism and high quality supplements, ancestral nutrition and heart-centered life coaching. I specialize in supporting women with hormonal imbalance, infertility, low energy, mood issues, poor digestion, inflammation, and poor sleep using tools that honor both the science of the body and its innate intelligence.
I’m known for my calm, nurturing presence and my ability to truly listen. People often say they feel heard and seen in a way that allows them to relax into their own healing process. My approach combines precision with intuition, helping clients understand what their bodies need while also reconnecting them to their inner wisdom.
I’m most proud of helping individuals feel empowered in their own bodies and capable of making choices that support their long-term health and vitality. What sets me apart is my integration of real food cooking, herbalism, and ancestral nutrition with modern functional medicine and biofield muscle testing. I bring a grounded, compassionate, and holistic perspective that meets people where they are while guiding them toward transformation that is sustainable, practical, and deeply nourishing.
How do you define success?
Success for me is about empowerment. I believe we are here to be healthy, resilient, and vital, not just to manage symptoms or get by. When someone realizes they are in charge of their own health and has the confidence and tools to support their body, something profound shifts. They stop outsourcing their wellbeing and begin to trust themselves.
When health becomes a source of freedom rather than limitation, it opens the door to a more meaningful, connected, and fully lived life.
