Today we’d like to introduce you to Brittney James
Hi Brittney, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
It all started fresh out of high school when I wanted to learn how to do makeup. I’m a proud Alumni graduate of Aveda Institute where I studied Esthetics. I had no idea what esthetician school was but I was all for it! I had been taking care of my skin since I was 15 years old, going to heb and buying skin care products that would burn my skin haha. Fast forward 12 years later, I am now the founder of CEO OF AESTHETICS MED SPA & ACADEMY!
I got here through my experience of working with high end makeup brands such as Chanel and Trish Mcevoy, Along with prominent doctors such as plastic surgeons, dermatologist and OB. After working in the esthetics industry I found a love for educating the next generation of estheticians, which is why I created the academy of my business.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
The beginning was the toughest for me and I would say everything is pretty smooth sailing for here, which I am blessed to have.
The struggles I found when started my business was finding my place in the beauty industry, my niche and found a place to stand out.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I’m a Master Aesthetician, CEO and Educator who focuses on empowering women through the art of aesthetics and education.
I offer a wide range of treatments such as chemical peels, Botox, microneedling, microdermabrasion, dermaplaning and customized treatments.
Outside of my spa, I offer Master Classes for estheticians. My master classes consist of business programs and continued education for women to elevate their skills.
I am mostly proud of my academy. Being able to elevate women in their careers and help them start their business is the most rewarding for me. It brings me complete joy and I wouldn’t change it for anything .
What sets me apart from others is that I am me. I am unique with 12 years of experience. As a millennial I come from a perspective of women empowerment and a modern day level of training.
I have seen what the industry and schools are not offering and have made it a point to give my girls the best education they can get.
In terms of your work and the industry, what are some of the changes you are expecting to see over the next five to ten years?
I have big plans for myself and my business. I see myself being a staple esthetician in Texas
