Rising Stars: Meet Caroline Bradley of Fredericksburg

Today we’d like to introduce you to Caroline Bradley. They and their team shared their story with us below:

Caroline Bradley has a true passion for helping to grow a small business. She is a Marketing Specialist with broad experience working in various business scenarios. After years of working for schools and nonprofits in Houston, Caroline and her family jumped to small-town living in 2020 when they moved to the beautiful Texas Hill Country (Fredericksburg). With love for the Texas wine industry, Caroline enjoys a focus on hospitality businesses which are the heart and soul of the Hill Country. Her draw to assist small businesses has been reignited after working as their tasting room manager for a winery. She is following this passion.

It had been clear to Caroline at a young age that what she wanted to do with her life was “be a helper,” but She would continue searching for the right fit until her mid 30’s. In 2009 Caroline earned degrees from Stephen F. Austin in Public Health and minored in Marketing—the original plan for to go into health and wellness awareness + prevention in hospitals. However, with the lack of employment opportunities in that area at that time, Caroline pivoted. She went to work for CPS and eventually became a teacher. She spent two years teaching Jr. High and eventually Preschool.

After serving as Assistant Director of a Preschool in 2021, Caroline was offered a position working for WINECUB, a shipping and fulfillment center for Texas wineries. When the owners wanted to open a Tasting Room called The Den, Caroline jumped at the chance. Growing their social media following from none to over 1K followers in just a few months, Caroline was responsible for the business development of the tasting room and serving. Ultimately, her passion was awakened for digital marketing.

She loves keeping up with trends and developments in the rapidly growing hospitality industry. After the owners closed The Den in July of 2022, Caroline decided to continue learning about Digital Marketing to assist other small businesses in growing organically. She completed the certificate program for Digital Marketing through Texas Tech University and GreenFig.

The Texas wine industry has ultimately captured her heart; from the growers to the winemakers, there are so many stories to be shared and businesses to grow. Caroline believes the best way to tell these stories and grow a business’s presence is through developing a relationship with the consumer through visual storytelling and communication. Likewise, Caroline loves networking and connecting with others in the wine industry and offers free promotions on her social media accounts.

When wineries continue to pop up in the Hill Country, it’s even more important for businesses to boost their marketing and digital presence. Now Caroline manages 8 social media accounts and offers marketing services such as email marketing setup and graphic design for businesses in “various scenarios.” She also volunteers as the Co-Sponsorship Chair for the Texas Wine Auction on April 29th. She is a leader + photographer for the Women’s Innovation Network, geared toward professional development and networking amongst Hill Country-based female entrepreneurs and businesswomen. (Located in Fredericksburg, TX.) Caroline works predominantly with food-related businesses and wineries, as she enjoys both personally and connects with her clients’ stories to tell them best. In her free time, Caroline enjoys her family, a river, or drinking Texas wine with friends.

Alright, let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what challenges have you had to overcome?
After The Den closed (due to ownership’s closure) and having put so much effort into seeing it grow, it was tough for me to bounce back professionally. I had been given that project to run with and felt like I was succeeding and happy. I loved what I was doing. When it closed, I had several businesses reach out and offer me tasting room management positions and various ways to promote their business. Having so many in the Texas wine industry reach out was a blessing, but I didn’t know where I fit. I had been trying to grow a business from the ground up that wasn’t mine and lost myself a little. After a few months of soul searching, I decided to get my LLC and at least have something that was mine. Whether I succeed or fail, I can take on as many or as few projects as possible and do what I’m best at connecting and promoting. I recently had been wavering and wondering if I could go out alone, so I applied and was rejected from three highly qualified positions. This was a sign that I needed to stay in my lane and keep doing what I love in digital marketing. I love my clients and truly enjoy working with them. I’m grateful for the setbacks and challenges I’ve faced because it makes me even more confident that I’m right where I need to be.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might need to become more familiar, what can you tell them about what you do?
After opening Scenarios Media LLC in January of 2023, I aim to assist in the growth of small businesses, specifically the Texas Wine Industry. I offer tailored marketing services encompassing a broad range of areas: consulting, Content Creation, Email Marketing, Website set up & Social Media Management.

There is a strong belief in collaboration and relationship building. I’m known locally for my ability to connect and collaborate in business development and professional relationships in general. The Hill Country Wine community is known for being a family. I thrive in this environment and get fired up while assisting others in succeeding.

My personal and professional goal is to see more Texas wine in restaurants statewide and nationally. We have great producers here, and with growth in marketing and education, we will see exponential growth in Texas wine in more retailers and restaurants over the next 10 years. I’m very proud of my role in the Texas Wine Auction and promotion of that event, as well as the many businesses I work with on a client or volunteer basis, which are sharing their passions with others in the form of food and wine. Both bring people together, and that is what I love.

So, how can our readers or others connect or collaborate with you before we go? How can they support you?
I’m always interested in meeting new people and collaborating. I’m happy to connect through Instagram @hillcountryscenarios or my email scenariosmedia@gmail.com.
