Today we’d like to introduce you to Codou Diop.
Hi Codou, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I am originally from Senegal, West Africa; I moved to France when I graduated High School. I have been living in Austin, TX, for 13 years now. I am a mom of two; I am a technology account executive and a content creator.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
I cannot say it has been a smooth road; nothing was ever given to me. I have had to work hard for everything. Coming from humble beginnings, I had to have multiple jobs while maintaining good grades. It was hard, but I would have had it any other way. Going through hard times really built my character and made me the strong woman I am.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
In my 9 to 5, I am an account executive for a technology company; I help companies with their data management and backup needs. I am also a content creator; I have a blog called Codou’s Way, my passion for skincare and fashion led me to create Codou’s Way in March 2017. I bring women daily wearable fashion, beauty, lifestyle, and skincare inspiration to a very engaged audience. I have had the chance to work with amazing brands like Neutrogena, Aveeno, Amazon, Pinterest and Google.
