Today we’d like to introduce you to Daniela Salas.
Hi Daniela, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
My name is Daniela Salas, I was born and raised in Venezuela and I moved to the USA in 2017 I was 19 years old and it was a roller coaster of emotions, leaving my family and everything I knew to start from scratch, I arrived in Miami, but I did not arrive Alone, my boyfriend and I arrived together and I started this path hand in hand with him, he has been my support in everything!
Since I was little, I have been passionate about art in all its expressions! I studied acting in Miami for a year and flamenco dance, all this helped me to feel better in the hard process of a changing country, I took refuge in art and then I discovered social networks, I began to tell my life what happened to me uncomfortable moments, sad, my family, what I liked, and a lot of things, over time I began to connect with incredible people, whom I can call my virtual friends, today I continue working hand in hand with my boyfriend who is my family to make laugh and entertain everyone who sees me on social networks, but we also decided to start over in Austin Texas, which I am proud to call my new home, we came for a job opportunity that my boyfriend was offered, And it was a super-strong change for me at the beginning but now I can say that it is the best thing that happened to me! I love Texas, I love Austin and I am happy to be here and make new friends, but above all to start from scratch and continue transmitting art and emotion in social media but especially in real life!
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Obstacles for me have been leaving my family in Venezuela, I miss them a lot. Too that it has cost me to live from my passion and I am working to achieve it! Work hard pays off.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I love this question! What I love the most about my work is that I know that I can cause laughter through a screen and entertain people, I studied acting in Miami for a year and it was super incredible to be able to make people feel through a camera, sometimes people see me like I’m crazy for talking on my phone, at that moment I just think that I’m making someone feel who sees me behind, and that makes my work something super beautiful.
Who else deserves credit in your story?
I believe that the people who deserve credit the most besides my teachers, both acting and flamenco, that I believe that those who have really helped me on this path and are always there for me are my family, my friends who become family and my boyfriend who has been with me when I only dreamed, and now that it is real, he is still by my side.
