Today we’d like to introduce you to Daniela Valle
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
Ever since I was a kid, I’ve been fascinated by animation. I remember telling my parents that I wanted to be a cartoonist when I grew up. Although my career path has evolved into design and branding, I now understand where that early passion came from. I’m obsessed with bringing “things” or “brands” to life. I adore color and have a strong aversion to neutrals and monotones. To me, when things move, they take on life and a sense of belonging—almost like they become part of us.
Freelancing started as a hobby when I was 16, and I quickly found ways to turn my skills into a sustainable pursuit. After gaining some experience, I decided to take a leap and create SAUCEHAUS©—a dynamic creative team focused on crafting bold, innovative concepts that breathe new life into brands.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
This is a great question. We’re often surrounded by media that encourages us to “follow your dreams,” or says things like “if you love your work, you won’t work a day in your life,” and “quit your 9-to-5 and go all in on your passion.” While I appreciate the sentiment behind these statements, the reality is more complex. If you want your business to be successful, it demands serious grit, long hours, and relentless drive.
At SAUCEHAUS©, we are hyper-committed to our clients, and that’s something we take a lot of pride in. As we’ve grown and reached new levels, we’ve realized we operate in a bit of a niche. A large part of our work is with Austin’s Hospitality industry, though we also serve tech and consumer clients. The hospitality world is very reactive—it ebbs and flows with the market—and that means our clients often need quick, creative solutions to sudden challenges.
Meeting tight deadlines with bold ideas has become one of our strengths. It’s not always easy, but we’ve learned that we thrive under pressure and that we’re especially skilled at adapting quickly.
There’s no denying that the creative industry is incredibly competitive, now more than ever. But despite that, we’ve continued to grow. Not only are we constantly meeting new collaborators and clients, but the relationships we’ve built over the years have also deepened and evolved. That, to me, is a sign that even in a crowded field, authenticity and dedication go a long way.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
SAUCEHAUS© is a multidisciplinary branding agency working across all mediums. With a background in Industrial Design, Graphic Design, and Fine Arts, no brief is too small and no scope limits our capabilities. While branding is our specialty, at heart, we’re visual problem solvers—and we’ve carved out a niche known for bold, dynamic work. People are naturally drawn to the energy we bring, and if you want to capture attention and stand out, you want us on your team.
What we’re most proud of is the creative community we’ve cultivated. While we’re always exploring opportunities with larger clients, our local base in Austin has been incredibly supportive and rewarding. We’re proud to have a strong foothold in Austin’s hospitality and service industry, consistently art-directing projects that blend fun with sophistication. From James Beard and Michelin-recommended restaurants to the next buzzy Italian sandwich pop-up, we’ve had the chance to shape a variety of standout brands.
We’re also fortunate to say that our work has expanded beyond Austin, reaching clients in Australia, Mexico, and across the U.S.
It’s hard to pick a single project as our favorite because we’re truly fans of our clients. The creative relationships we’ve built are as fulfilling as the work itself—and many of these partnerships have grown into genuine friendships.
What sort of changes are you expecting over the next 5-10 years?
Our industry is extremely trend-driven, with constant shifts, especially as technology plays an increasingly dominant role. People often ask us, “What’s your style?” Interestingly, we don’t adhere to a specific style. We embrace a kind of duality that allows us to craft each brand and project with enough distinction to create something truly unique. We’re also passionate about bringing a handmade touch to our work—whether it’s custom script typography or a hand-drawn sketch.
One of the biggest questions we’re asking ourselves these days is: Are we using AI correctly? Can it enhance our brainstorming process and make us more efficient? These discussions come up regularly in our studio, and we see a significant shift on the horizon.
While AI can generate something quickly with just a prompt, we often ask: is it good enough? Is it real and intentional? And most importantly, who made it? As consumers, we’re surrounded by convenience, but we still long for things that have a story, a soul, and a human touch. When you know who made a piece—and the narrative behind it—you develop a deeper connection with it.
We believe that in the next 5-10 years, while AI and automation will continue to influence our industry, there will also be a resurgence of appreciation for craft, imperfection, and the human element. The desire for that “roughness”—the hand-drawn sketch, the tactile imperfections—will become even more valued as a counterbalance to fast, digital solutions. For us, that handmade spirit will always be the canvas for our conceptual ideas.
