In 1995, David White and his son, Dennis established Leeda Construction Company as a father and son business. Working out of southern California, the company specialized in room additions, finishing work and designing and construction of patios. In 2014, Dennis moved his growing family to Austin, Texas. Determined to carry on his father’s legacy of strong core values, Dx2 Construction was born. Its name is a testament to his father’s belief in hard work and excellence. With over 25 years of experience and knowledge in residential work, Dx2 Construction expanded its services to include commercial work. Today, the company’s repertoire of services includes house expansions, garage conversions, painting, drywall, tile work, roofing, and patio and deck installations. Dx2 Construction provides quality work at a fair price. We are also invested in building partnerships in the community by providing employment opportunities for Deaf people who live in Austin. No job is too big or too small for Dx2 Construction. We have never failed to complete a project. As a member of the Austin and Buda communities, Dennis depends on and values his relationships with local customers, subcontractors and suppliers.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
The biggest challenges include competing with other companies for bids and jobs. As a Deaf small business owner, Dennis has been fortunate to be able to communicate with members of the community in different ways. The Austin and Buda communities are diverse and many members of the community are willing and able to work with us. The results speak for themselves.

We offer free estimates and are always open to discussing options. Dx2 has built a reputation for replacing and building top-notch patios and decks. At the end of the day, Dennis is most proud of the quality of the work of his company.
How do you define success?
Success, to us, is seeing the look on our client’s faces when we complete jobs to their satisfaction and beyond. Success is when we get referrals from our clients. Success is when our workers grow in their capacity and in the construction business. Success is my wife being happy.
