Hi Dillon, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Lange Roofing ia a family-owned business with roots in Central Texas since 1993. Lange Roofing was built from the ground up, starting with honesty, craftsmanship, & treating everyone’s home as if were our own mothers. Jaysen Lange was the founder and worked very hard to build and establish Lange Roofing in Central Texas. My brother and I grew up, from birth raised around our father working hard and building the business. We purchased the business from our father in January of 2017. We are in our 10th year since the purchase and we continue to operate the same as always. No salesman, no pressure tactics, no door knocking straight forward estimates and pricing. Along with expert guidance whether it be with roofing questions or insurance. We have a long standing office that was established in 2001 in Killeen, TX. We stand committed to standing behind our work with a 10 year workmanship warranty & prioritizing warranty calls above all else. In our 10th year of ownership we are committed to growing our family business, expanding our team, and giving back to our community that takes care of use. We have recently expanded our reach into the Texas Hill Country, with that Lange Roofing is committed to providing the same professional service that Central Texas has trusted for decades & Protecting the family name that has built trust since 1993.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
For the most part the road has been smooth, but there has definitely been some learning curves. The biggest take away from the bumpy parts is that whether right or wrong we stand behind our work and show up every time when called, second is no one or company is perfect, it’s how you respond to mistakes or failure that help you grow so you can take those and grow from them. With that you can pass the knowledge into future generations of the Lange Family Business. If you have it smooth then you are not growing or improving. Struggles we have been through could be from losing money on a job to improper bidding [we eat the loss and learn from it]. Other obstacles is keeping up with new product and pricing in a timely manner to not fall behind everyone else.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
We provide professional roofing services, we are known for our quick response hometown feel, when someone calls us for an estimate, we measure and provide a bid with honest pricing, not just asking for the homeowners insurance paperwork and charging every dollar the insurance quotes. We are proud to say all of our business for the last 30 year comes from the phone ringing, we do not door knock, no sales pitch, we provide the customer that called us with an honest bid, no salesman pressure throughout the whole process. Most of our customers appreciate that they received a bid without feeling like a car salesman was trying to convince them on the spot. We let the homeowner decide for themselves if we are the right choice for them by the free service provided whether it be a roof replacement or roof repairs. We give honest no pressure estimates for all of our customers.
Is there a quality that you most attribute to your success?
Treating customers like people instead of a quick dollar sign. With an established office we would not been in business for as long as we have been by not standing behind our work and name. We are a Family owned trusted business since 1993 and are proud to be different from 90% of roofing companies that are more sales approached versus our approach of treating customers like a neighbor helping a neighbor. We hear it all the time from customers that have used us stating majority of roofing companies try to have them sign paperwork before they leave and not fully understanding what they are signing. In most cases signing a binding contract unknowingly. This is just 1 of many reasons why we have been successful and in the same office location for decades and continue to grow.
