Rising Stars: Meet Emily Hart of Right outside of Austin

Today we’d like to introduce you to Emily Hart

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
My journey began with a personal goal—to prove to myself that I could accomplish something meaningful, even though I didn’t finish college. As a stay-at-home mom to three kids, my focus was on supporting my husband’s career and dreams, holding down the house, raising our children, and keeping everything running smoothly. I’m so grateful for all his hard work, but over time, I realized I wanted to pursue something for myself.

The turning point came when I faced challenges in a previous role. It was a tough moment, but it taught me an important lesson about betting on myself. That’s when I started exploring social media, marketing, content creation, and analytics—taking as many online classes and earning as many certifications as I could. It was a lot of trial and error, but every step forward showed me I was capable.

I’m still learning every day, but my personal Instagram reflects how far I’ve come. Through this journey, I found something I truly love—creating content for businesses, individuals, and weddings—while still making time for my family.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Of course it hasn’t been a smooth road. It’s been filled with long nights, countless days sitting at my computer, and endless moments of figuring out how I can improve. There’s a lot of self-doubt that comes with starting something from scratch, especially when you’re teaching yourself and constantly learning through trial and error.

Balancing my ambitions with being a mom of three has been one of the biggest challenges. There are times when I feel like I’m juggling a million things at once, and sometimes I worry if I’m doing enough. But every late night and every step forward has been worth it. Those moments of progress—whether it’s nailing a new skill, seeing my content connect with people, or getting positive feedback—make all the hard work feel meaningful.

I’ve learned that success isn’t about perfection; it’s about persistence. People have doubted me, judged me, and thought I was being silly for pursuing this, but let me tell you something: who cares what people say or think about you? Truly. I know exactly who my haters are but you know what? I’m thankful for them. They’ve shown me exactly who I don’t want to be like. Their lack of support only pushed me to focus on what truly matters and stay true to myself. Life is so much better when you let go of caring about others’ opinions and just go for it.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I’m a social media manager, content creator, and micro-influencer who specializes in organic content. I’m passionate about creating work that feels real and connects with people, whether it’s helping businesses share their stories or engaging with my own audience. Collaboration is a big part of what I do—I love working with others to bring creative ideas to life and make something that truly resonates.

I’m most proud of my commitment to always keep learning. Social media moves fast, and I’ve made it a point to stay on top of new trends, tools, and strategies so I can constantly improve and offer the best to my clients and audience.

As a micro-influencer, I focus on building meaningful connections. For me, it’s not about chasing numbers—it’s about creating content that feels genuine and relatable. What sets me apart is my ability to craft organic, impactful content that aligns with each brand’s personality while staying true to my own voice.

The crisis has affected us all in different ways. How has it affected you and any important lessons or epiphanies you can share with us?
Yes, one of the most important lessons I learned during the COVID-19 crisis is to not be a sheep—be a lion. It taught me the importance of thinking for myself, staying strong in my beliefs, and making decisions that align with my values, even when it feels like the world is pulling me in different directions.

The crisis showed me how vital it is to adapt, stay resilient, and take charge of my own path instead of just following the crowd. It pushed me to trust my instincts, be bold, and focus on what truly matters. That mindset has shaped how I approach not only my work but also life in general.
