In 2017, I launched Standing Ovations Events with a simple passion for helping couples bring their wedding visions to life. I began solely with full-service planning, guiding clients through every detail with care and creativity. As my experience and client needs grew, I expanded my offerings to include day‑of coordination and professional officiating, creating a well-rounded suite of services designed to support couples at every stage of their celebration.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
The road definitely hasn’t always been smooth. When I started Standing Ovations Events in 2017, I was fueled by passion but still learning how to run a business, build systems, and attract the right clients. In the early years, I had to figure everything out on my own—pricing, contracts, workflows, marketing, and how to balance multiple weddings while still delivering a personalized experience for every couple.
As my services expanded from planning into day‑of coordination and officiating, I had to refine my processes, strengthen my communication, and learn how to juggle different roles seamlessly. There were moments of burnout, moments of doubt, and plenty of trial and error. But every challenge pushed me to become more organized, more intentional, and more confident in the value I bring.
Those struggles shaped the business into what it is today: a well‑rounded, client‑centered brand built on experience, resilience, and a genuine love for celebrating people.

I’m the Owner and Lead Planner of Standing Ovations Events, where I specialize in creating personalized, meaningful, and beautifully organized wedding experiences. I offer full-service planning, day-of coordination, and professional officiating, providing couples with a seamless, all-in-one support system from “yes” to “I do.” I’m known for my warm communication style, my detailed workflows, and my ability to make couples feel genuinely cared for throughout the entire process.
What I’m most proud of is the way I’ve built this business with intention—crafting systems, templates, and resources that not only serve my clients but also empower other planners and officiants. Representation and inclusivity are at the core of everything I create, from my ceremony scripts to my visual branding.
What sets me apart is my combination of organization, empathy, and creativity. I don’t just manage logistics—I build relationships. I take the time to understand each couple’s story, their values, and their vision, and then I translate that into an experience that feels theirs authentically. My clients know they can trust me to anticipate needs, solve problems before they appear, and bring a calming, confident presence to one of the most important days of their lives.
Is there anyone you’d like to thank or give credit to?
I definitely haven’t built this business alone. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of working alongside so many talented planners and coordinators who each showed me different ways to approach this industry. One of the biggest influences has been Dominique at Phox Events. Working with her expanded my perspective on systems, communication, and how to run a wedding day with both precision and heart. Every planner I’ve partnered with has taught me something—whether it was a new workflow, a fresh approach to client care, or a smarter way to handle the unexpected.
I’ve also been supported by incredible teammates, vendors, and clients who trusted me long before I had everything figured out. Their encouragement, feedback, and belief in my work pushed me to refine my services and grow Standing Ovations Events into what it is today. From fellow coordinators who shared their knowledge, to officiants who inspired my ceremony style, to couples who welcomed me into their most meaningful moments—each one played a part in shaping my confidence, my creativity, and my commitment to this craft.
