Rising Stars: Meet Jordan Cordel of Austin, TX

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jordan Cordel.

Hi Jordan, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
Music for me started in the church, raised in Port Arthur, TX singing in the choir. It advance to participating in talent shows which I’d win 1st place and UIL competitions which I’d excel in as well making it all the way to state, In college, I continued to win talent shows and was apart of a band but my career begin to take shape once I moved to Austin, I’ve been here since 2020 and throughout that time, I’ve release 4 EPs, music videos with thousands of views, and a compilation album. In 2024, I launched my own entertainment business called BORNSTAR Productions & Entertainment to shape the destiny of my independent music career.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Not at all, I’ve changed management numerous times, been offered horrible record deals, which is why I started my own business so that I could be in control of my destiny. I wear so many hats as an artist, songwriter, curator, and in marketing, that the next person who wants to be apart of what I’m building will have to to bring exceptional value for me to be interested.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
What I Do: Singer, Songwriter,

Known For: Setting A Stage On Fire

Most Proud: My upcoming debut album which will be coming this year in 2025. I’m also proud to be graduating from The University of Texas at Austin in May 2025 with my MBA always paving the way to be a successful artist, student, and businessman.

What sets me apart: I’m going to work hard, I’m going to be more disciplined, I’m going to give results instead of excuses, and I genuinely love what I do.

We love surprises, fun facts and unexpected stories. Is there something you can share that might surprise us?
I’m actually very introverted. I open up and blossom around people I know and am comfortable with, otherwise I’m kind of reserved. I’m working on that because I don’t want to come off antisocial, I just rather read the room first because I provide conversation into it.
