Today we’d like to introduce you to Raphael Colantonio.
Hi Raphael, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Weird Wolves is an electro rock band that was created in 2017 to make the credit song for a videogame called Prey by Arkane Studios. Since then, we’ve kept growing our line up and released more and more songs and played live shows.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It has been rocky (no pun intended) like most endeavors. One of the founding band member got very sick and had to leave 4 years into the life of the band, since then the member has been replaced and everything is normal again. We’ve had business stress with the label that led us to buy ourselves out and be independent again. Other than that, everything is well
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
There are 2 of us.
Raphael Colantonio, founding member of the band, writes the majority of the songs, produces, and also sings and plays guitar and bass, as well as programs the lights for live shows.
Celestina Gravely, who joined a year ago, participates to the writing of the songs, she also sings and plays guitar and bass.
If we knew you growing up, how would we have described you?
Introvert kid of the 80’s, drawing comic books, playing dungeon&Dragons, listening to new wave and playing videogames
