Community Highlights: Meet Yannette Homsy of Realty Solutions

Today we’d like to introduce you to Yannette Homsy

Hi Yannette, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
My name is Yannette Homsy, I am from Venezuela and I have been in the US for a little over four years. My story in this country began when my husband, my daughter and I migrated in search of a better quality of life, which in our country we could not have due to the bad economic, social and political situation it presents. I arrived like many immigrants, working in several restaurants and a Day Care, until one day I decided and started studying to get my Realtor license! I grew up in a family of merchants. That is why being a Realtor is passionate about me! I like to help people and above all talk with them, listen to their stories and even tell them mine! In my country, I was also a Realtor for six years, and even though I am a Petroleum Engineer, I love being a Real Estate agent and having that contact with the public. Being a realtor in this country has allowed me to meet many people, know and learn from different cultures, and above all, help those to achieve their dream of having a home of their own!

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
My native language is Spanish. That is why one of my greatest challenges since I arrived in this country, has been learning English! Obtaining my license completely in English has been a challenge that I have been able to overcome, that is why I am convinced that when we propose something that we want, we can achieve it whatever the circumstance! I’m still learning, every day I try to improve my language and learn new things since this gives me the opportunity to be better in my career as a Real Estate agent! Taking care of my two daughters, ages 10 and 2, a husband and a home that requires my love and attention and to whom I dedicate my life, studying, learning and working has also been a complete challenge. And finally, separating from my mother and brothers has been another great challenge for me since they are a fundamental part of my life, and not being able to see them for almost five years has been a challenge that I have had to face, already that I have had to learn to be strong, connect more with God and understand why things happen!

Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about Realty Solutions?
I am a realtor and I work with Realty Solutions! A brokerage with approximately 100 Realtors and an excellent Broker (Patrick Connell) and a wonderful team called Love Home Group, which makes you feel safe and like you are with the family! His services are Real Estate, helping people to buy, sell and/or rent their house or business! I like to belong to this company because the learning is constant. They are responsible people with a lot of professional ethics, offering their realtors professional growth and excellent customer service.

How do you think about happiness?
I am happy to see my family happy and people achieving their dreams.
