Today we’d like to introduce you to Rosie.
Hi Rosie, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
¡Hola friends! I am the host and bilingual content producer at Life 100 Podcast, a bilingual English and Spanish podcast featuring insightful stories, remarkable guests and everyday tips for life, in where we celebrate our diversity and creativity by living to the fullest. Living life at 100!
I have always been fascinated by the diversity our voices, knowledge and experiences. Born and raised in Puerto Rico, I found challenging to see all of our beautiful faces and great accomplishments represented in the media. I am grateful that my parents, Luis y Maria, surrounded me with people who were a living example of diversity and inclusion, as well as with magazines from other countries showing our multiculturalism, physical attributes, chosen profession, and impact in the world.
My journey has taken me to many countries, and each one of them has left an impression to be cherished. I now live in Texas after my residence in Florida, where I graduated from the University of Florida (BSBA) and Nova Southeastern University (MBA). I love Austin. I love the people I have the fortune to meet, the beautiful hills and winding roads, and the opportunities it has given to my family.
I treasure this city, its global community. I am grateful for the privilege to connect and amplify our extraordinary voices, our diverse experiences, and our wisdom thru the world of podcasting. I am a believer that life is better when we live it at 100!
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
Not a smooth journey, but a rewarding one. I started podcasting as a result of what the world considered a failure, my presentation for a conference in town was not chosen. I had worked on this presentation for months and it would have been a disservice to not share it. I investigated ways to share these ideas with the world in a way that was:
• Easily accessible
• Convenient
• Available on demand
• Highly engaging
• Free of charge to the listener
• Downloadable
• Shareable
So I got to work and learned about the podcasting industry. I learned the technical aspects of it, including the equipment selection, audio recording and editing, submission to listening platforms, and the business aspects of it, including forming the legal entity, marketing, promotion, and daily operations. Most importantly, I learned and continue learning about my style in bringing our voices forward. Finally, in February 27, 2020, I published the first episode. A beautiful journey, indeed. A journey that has taken me to amazing places and opportunities, meeting inspiring people and sharing their voices and their diversity with the entire world. I am in the transition of making podcasting my full-time venture, and I am celebrating each day as it is taking me closer to that realization.
We’ve been impressed with Life 100 Podcast with Rosie LLC, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I have the good fortune to be a member of this great Austin community. A global community with global voices in English and Spanish, with their unique perspectives, expertise and experiences. Sharing these stories with the world has provided me the opportunity to have:

Risk taking is a topic that people have widely differing views on – we’d love to hear your thoughts.
Your Voice Matters. It is never too late. Be determined to move forward. Remember, your passion and commitment will be critical factors in overcoming roadblocks along the path of your new business. Yes, it will take time, money, lack of sleep, and maybe working other jobs while building your new venture. Resources are abundant, free of charge in many cases, to guide you and inspire you along the way. Ask questions, ask for help. Practice presenting your business concept and its value proposition. Nurture your enthusiasm, and do not fall into the trap of denial. Discipline and adaptability will play a role in your success. Try and try again, get out of your comfort zone, keep your vision alive, and be humble enough to accept change when needed. Value progress instead of perfection. When you achieve success in your business venture, remember to help others do the same.
Pa’lante. Go and make it happen! I look forward to sharing your story.
