Hi Blaize, thank you for taking the time to reflect back on your journey with us. I think our readers are in for a real treat. There is so much we can all learn from each other and so thank you again for opening up with us. Let’s get into it: What is something outside of work that is bringing you joy lately?
Life has been FULL of so many joyful moments lately. This summer was filled with family time, vacations, and preparation for baby #3. I truly believe in finding joy in every moment that this life gives us!
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
Borrowed + Blue Events is a wedding and event planning company based out of New Braunfels, TX servicing our home town and the surrounding areas. We have been in business for over 6 1/2 years, and offer services all the way from “final details” coordination help to full fledged planning. We pride ourselves on being fully present for our couples every step of the way, no matter what services they may book us for! We are constantly trying to improve and find new ways to ensure that our couples have the best experience possible.
Thanks for sharing that. Would love to go back in time and hear about how your past might have impacted who you are today. What’s a moment that really shaped how you see the world?
I can’t think of 1 specific moment that has shaped how I see the world, but a collection of moments! Through out my life, like everyone else, I have experienced love, loss, heartbreak, rejection, acceptance, and so much more! I think the people in my corner have helped me learn something from every experience I’ve been through, and this has shaped me in to who I am, and how I see the world around me.
If you could say one kind thing to your younger self, what would it be?
People are often unreasonable, illogical and self centered; Forgive them anyway. If you are kind, people may accuse you of selfish, ulterior motives; Be kind anyway. If you are successful, you will win some false friends and some true enemies; Succeed anyway. If you are honest and frank, people may cheat you; Be honest and frank anyway. What you spend years building, someone could destroy overnight; Build anyway. If you find serenity and happiness, they may be jealous; Be happy anyway. The good you do today, people will often forget tomorrow; Do good anyway. Give the world the best you have, and it may never be enough; Give the world the best you’ve got anyway. You see, in the final analysis, it is between you and your God; It was never between you and them anyway. -Mother Theresa
So a lot of these questions go deep, but if you are open to it, we’ve got a few more questions that we’d love to get your take on. Is the public version of you the real you?
The public version of myself is 100% the real me. I have always stayed true to myself, my values, and my beliefs, no matter who may agree or disagree!
Okay, so before we go, let’s tackle one more area. If you retired tomorrow, what would your customers miss most?
I have been told by couples, vendors, and acquaintances that when working with Borrowed + Blue, they know they’re going to have the absolute best experience, and not have to worry about things because they know they are in good hands. We have worked really hard as a team to obtain and keep a reputable name in our area but providing the best level of service to ALL!
