An Inspired Chat with Meghan Elizabeth of South Austin

We recently had the chance to connect with Meghan Elizabeth and have shared our conversation below.

Hi Meghan, thank you so much for joining us today. We’re thrilled to learn more about your journey, values and what you are currently working on. Let’s start with an ice breaker: What are you most proud of building — that nobody sees?
What I’m most proud of building is the internal foundation that keeps me grounded no matter how chaotic life or business gets. The discipline, the resilience, the mindset.. all the things no one sees on social media or in a closing photo.

I’ve built a version of myself that keeps showing up, even when things feel heavy. That’s what holds everything else up, the wins, the career, the ability to pour into clients and mentor others. It’s not flashy, but it’s everything.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I’m Meghan Elizabeth, a third generation Austin Realtor, mentor, and community builder who’s worked hard to turn a rocky start in real estate into a top producing career. I help people buy, sell, and invest in homes across Central Texas, but more than that, I focus on being a real resource — offering guides, tools, and honest insight that go beyond the usual sales pitch.

My brand is rooted in empathy, hustle, and human connection. I’ve moved over 20 times myself so I deeply understand how personal this process is. That’s why I aim to be more than just another agent. I want to be someone people feel safe with during some of the biggest decisions of their lives.

Right now I’m expanding my mentorship work with newer agents and helping grow women-led networking spaces in Austin. I have recently joined the board of Women Beyond Real Estate and I am so excited to see all the things that come into fruition from this new experience. I believe in building with heart and showing up fully, both in business and in life.

Amazing, so let’s take a moment to go back in time. Who taught you the most about work?
My dad taught me the most about work. He was one of the hardest working people I’ve ever known and made sure I understood the value of earning things for myself. If I wanted something growing up, I had to get a job and work for it — no shortcuts. That early push built the foundation for my work ethic today.

He’s no longer here, but the lessons he taught me still show up in everything I do. His example of perseverance, responsibility, and showing up no matter what, that’s something I carry with me every day.

If you could say one kind thing to your younger self, what would it be?
I’d tell her, “You’re doing better than you think.”

There were so many times I felt behind or unsure if I’d ever feel stable whether it was emotionally, financially, or just in life. But every version of me kept going, even when things felt heavy. I’d remind her that all the things she’s worrying about will eventually work out in ways she couldn’t even imagine. Keep going. Keep being kind. It all adds up.

I think our readers would appreciate hearing more about your values and what you think matters in life and career, etc. So our next question is along those lines. Whom do you admire for their character, not their power?
One person who comes to mind is my Nonnie. She’s full of quiet strength, always puts family first, and never lets the hard parts of life harden her heart. She’s not flashy or loud about it, but her character is solid. The kind of person you feel better just being around.

Okay, so before we go, let’s tackle one more area. What is the story you hope people tell about you when you’re gone?
I hope people say I made them feel seen.. that I showed up fully, led with heart, and left things better than I found them.

That I was someone who worked hard but stayed grounded. Who turned pain into purpose, and never let success make her forget where she came from.

That I loved deeply, gave freely, and reminded people they could be both strong and soft and that being real was always enough.
