Today we’d like to introduce you to Camille Baptiste.
Hi Camille, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I created Swim Bike Run Fun Club & Events to bring more women into triathlons and create diverse and immersive experiences for women in triathlon and cycling.
I am a race director and help direct the club in reach more women.

We all face challenges, but looking back, would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
No, it has not been a smooth road. Physically yes, it’s been a struggle. I underwent major surgery on my right leg and I had to learn to walk again. Being a strong cyclist and triathlete myself, it was at times difficult to promote something you could not personally participate or demonstrate. I am a firm believer in doing and leading by example so I struggled with imposter syndrome for a bit.
Once, I worked, clawed, and crawled my way back to walking and eventually riding again. It was a very emotional 2 yrs almost.
Once I was out budling community and setting up races – I quickly realized that I was not adequately funded and lacked key sponsorship and endorsements.
It’s hard to connect with limited vendors and sponsors who understand and care about supporting our endurance niche.
I’m constantly learning to think out the box or finding ways to market organic to reduce cost and deliver the most value.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
In my professional life – I am a business program and crisis management consultant. I work primarily with small corporations who are newly listed as public companies. I help them develop internal business processes and unique responses to internal and external business emergencies.
Can you tell us more about what you were like growing up?
I was always very outgoing. I was a nerd jock. I loved chemistry, building things, chess, basketball, dancing, and cooking. I did not swim, never learned how to ride a bike and did not like running long distances until my twenties.
