Hi EV0, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
Makes My Blood Dance started in New York City with a simple idea: bring together the energy of metal, the pulse of electronic music, and the freedom of the dance floor. We weren’t interested in fitting neatly into a genre. We wanted to create something that felt like its own world, where music, fashion, performance, and nightlife collide.
Jon Kristian and I built the band around that vision. Over time, it evolved into what we call DISCO NOIR, a sound and live experience that draws from industrial, electronic, and metal without being confined by any of them.
The real turning point was taking the music on the road. Playing night after night, meeting people face-to-face, and seeing complete strangers become fans showed us what we were building. The live show became the heart of everything.
In November 2025, we signed with Metropolis Records, and in June 2026, we released our album Z3R0 2 LGHT $P33D!, produced by Mikal Blue and Bret Mazur. We’ve since been touring relentlessly across the US, UK, and Ireland, sharing stages with established artists, building our audience one city at a time, and seeing our music reach people around the world.
What started as an idea between two musicians has grown into a band with an international audience, a distinct identity, and a community that continues to expand.
We’re still very much in the building phase. The ambition is to make Makes My Blood Dance something people don’t just listen to, but want to be part of.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Not even close. Building a band is one thing. Keeping it moving is an entirely different challenge.
Finances are a constant balancing act. Touring, recording, producing music videos, and building a world around the music all require serious investment, often long before you see any return. You have to believe in what you’re doing enough to keep investing in it, but also be resourceful enough to survive.
Then there’s the physical and mental endurance of touring. Long drives, little sleep, unfamiliar cities, and the expectation that you’ll give everything you’ve got onstage every single night. You have to develop a different kind of strength. The audience doesn’t care how many hours you drove or how exhausted you are. They came for an experience, and it’s our job to deliver it.
Finding the right people has been just as important. Musical ability is only part of the equation. You need people who connect spiritually, share the same ambition, and genuinely want to live this life together. SpaceBaby on bass and G-Rex on drums have brought that chemistry to the band. When you’re spending this much time together, the relationships offstage are just as important as what happens onstage.
The biggest lesson has been that talent alone doesn’t sustain a band. It takes resilience, trust, sacrifice, and a collective belief in where you’re going. We’ve had to earn every bit of momentum, and I think that’s what makes this version of Makes My Blood Dance stronger than ever.

I’m the frontman and co-founder of Makes My Blood Dance. What we do lives somewhere between metal, electronic music, industrial, and the dance floor. We call it DISCO NOIR.
We’re known for our live shows. There’s a physicality to what we do, a connection with the audience that goes beyond playing songs. We want people moving, sweating, singing, and feeling like they’re part of something. The music is only one piece of it. Fashion, visual identity, attitude, and the energy in the room are all part of the experience.
What sets us apart is that we’re not trying to recreate a particular era or fit into an existing scene. We draw from different musical and cultural worlds and bring them together in a way that feels natural to us. You can come from a metal background, an underground electronic club, or somewhere completely different and find something to connect with.
I’m particularly proud of what we’ve built independently. We’ve taken this band from an idea to signing with Metropolis Records, releasing Z3R0 2 LGHT $P33D!, and touring internationally. Our video for “Time And A Place” has passed 800,000 views, but what means even more to me is meeting people in different cities who already know the songs and are genuinely invested in what we’re doing.
I’m also proud of the people we’ve brought together. Jon Kristian, SpaceBaby, G-Rex, and I each bring something different, and that chemistry is what makes the band work.
Ultimately, I want Makes My Blood Dance to be more than a collection of songs. I want it to be a world people recognize, a live experience they remember, and something they feel connected to long after the show ends.
