Today we’d like to introduce you to Javad Mahdavilayen
Hi Javad, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I’m a 26 years old Accountant and IT Specialist I have got my masters from Texas State University this May and doing Accounts Payable at Amazon AWS.
I been playing 8 ball pool for a while with my friends back in my hometown Iran and United states San Marcos with my colleagues. One day I asked my friend if he can get 12 in the pocket when we were playing regular 8 ball pool.
He accepted the challenge and went for that ball. He did the same for me. We kinda got addicted to it and we turned it into a new game called JaitBall which requires the same equipment as 8 ball pool but with some different rules.
After a few month of playing we added the 8 ball pocket choice rule which gives each player one chance to choose a pocket for their opponent 8 ball based on the situation. They also have the option to skip if they don’t want to use their chance but the best time to use it is when they can save the 8 ball for themselves.
This game allows people to show their true colors and destroy each other without saying a word but just with making the right decision you will increase the chance of winning in this game and the more you loose the more you wanna play to prove them wrong.
I have also developed an online beta version of Jaitball video game for IOS and Android devices and currently working on different aspect of the game working with a software developing team.
We have a community in Whatsapp and Instagram page @jaitball as well as Youtube video tutorials with in depth explanation and we also support all potential questions that our community have during the game.
This game can change the way people play 8 ball at Clubs where you have to put coins into the table because the regular 8ball can finish in 5 minutes but with jaitball you can play average 15 minutes each game.
with that said .. JaitBall philosophy comes from this quote:
Sometimes in life you’ll be challenged by obstacles that someone else wants for you .. You make the choice to accept the challenge and get extreme dopamin rush or just say you can’t and call it a day.
That’s why JaitBall players have a hand sign that they send to their friends to challenge them to a fair JaitBall game
Whenever someone reject the challenge they lose a point in their ranking but when they win they’ll get 3 points
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Killing habits every few month to learn new things and managing multiple business and work and my network
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
Currently Accounting Assistant ( AP ) Amazon AWS(Contract)
Is there something surprising that you feel even people who know you might not know about?
That I went through 8 electric shocks in hospital in another country when I had an episode and lost 30 pounds and some of my memory but managed to came back to US and finish my degree to make my parents proud.
