Today we’d like to introduce you to Justin Clark.
Hi Justin, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I was born and raised here in Austin, Texas. (7th Generation Texan)
I was raised by a very supportive family (parents, grandparents, and great grandmother)
My parents Deborah & Dave Clark were very successful country musicians for their band, Texas Fever. They played many nights of the week all throughout Texas. This gave me a love for being on stage at a very early age.
My brother JD Clark is also a very successful country musician here in Austin. He just released another single of his “Shot To Hell”.
I attended St. Louis Catholic School from 1st to 8th grade which rooted me in my faith with God as a youngster.
At age 11, I experienced a very traumatic and life changing medical experience. I was hospitalized for months with a ruptured appendix of almost 3 days. I was in ICU for 42 days, 5 surgeries and was given last rights as the surgeons felt they had done all they could do to save my life. By the grace of God, I came out on the winning side and am still here to this day. Although many other physical and even mental issues arose from that, I am very grateful that I can sit here and share my story while impacting the world in the best way that I can.
I started my music career 17 years ago playing drums and singing in rock n roll summer camps. During high school I became very interested in Hip-Hop which took me into crating my first records. I then dabbled in some pop influenced songs and had some great success. One of the records reaching #3 on the Spotify Global Charts for a week back in 2017.
During COVID, much like everything else, doing shows was hard to do so I spent majority of that time at home creating new records of all different genres. I decided to go back to school and finish getting my degree and continued my other passion in coaching football and basketball. I am very passionate about inspiring the youth and helping them in their journey of life.
I currently have a bunch of records I plan to release which include a lot of country inspired songs which is full circle as my parents helped introduce me to the music world as a young kid with their country music background.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
My music and coaching passions.
I believe I have a way to inspire those around me especially the youth in today’s world.
What quality or characteristic do you feel is most important to your success?
Being able to connect and having a presence that is confident.
