Cherelle K. on Life, Lessons & Legacy

Cherelle K. shared their story and experiences with us recently and you can find our conversation below.

Cherelle , we’re thrilled to have you with us today. Before we jump into your intro and the heart of the interview, let’s start with a bit of an ice breaker: What do you think is misunderstood about your business?
I consider myself to be someone who he fairly new and green to the entertainment industry. Between being a live tv director, a rapper, and an actress the most important thing i have learned is it’s only up to YOU to make a place for yourself in this industry. No one is going to hand you anything so its your responsibility to work hard for your dreams and goals in this industry. You can be around Beyonce or Denzel Washington all day, but that does not make YOU a celebrity.

You have to cut out any and all distractions or noise to just focus on accomplishing your personal goals. Even if that means taking a back set for a while.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
My name is Cherelle K. i am a rapper, live tv director, and an actress

Great, so let’s dive into your journey a bit more. What’s a moment that really shaped how you see the world?
Getting out there and trying any and everything that I thought I might like to do. For example, there was a point I thought I wanted to be vet. I got the opportunity to do a vet tech job and realized it wasn’t for me.

I believe the only way to really understand your place in the world is by trying different things until you find what really makes you, YOU!

If you could say one kind thing to your younger self, what would it be?
It’s okay to just be fully yourself and not care about what anybody else thinks or has going on.

I think our readers would appreciate hearing more about your values and what you think matters in life and career, etc. So our next question is along those lines. What important truth do very few people agree with you on?
I think many people think this statement is true, but rarely follow it.

“The people that do the right thing, will always be victorious in the end”

Thank you so much for all of your openness so far. Maybe we can close with a future oriented question. If you laid down your name, role, and possessions—what would remain?
A child God
