Community Highlights: Meet Abigail Trejo of Elizabeth & Josephine Events and Coordination

Today we’d like to introduce you to Abigail Trejo.

Hi Abigail, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
MY journey has been anything but traditional. I’ve spent more than a decade working full-time while trying to find my purpose with a dream to build something of my own. Along the way, life has brought incredible joy and profound loss, experiences that have shaped who I am and how I serve others.

Elizabeth & Josephine Events and Coordination was born from a passion for creating meaningful experiences and honoring two women who profoundly impacted my life with their time on this earth — my sister Sarah Elizabeth and my grandmother, Josephine. Their love, strength, and compassion continue to inspire the way I approach every wedding and every client relationship.

What began as a dream has grown into a business built on trust, organization, and genuine care. I’ve learned that wedding coordination isn’t just about timelines and logistics; it’s about creating an environment where couples can be fully present on one of the most important days of their lives. Whether I’m solving unexpected challenges behind the scenes or celebrating alongside my clients, my goal is always the same: to provide peace of mind and create an experience they’ll remember long after the wedding day.

Every step of this journey has reinforced that success isn’t built overnight. It’s built through consistency, resilience, and a willingness to keep learning. While I’m proud of how far Elizabeth & Josephine Events has come, I believe the best chapters are still ahead. I’m excited to continue growing a brand that not only delivers exceptional service but also leaves a lasting impact on every couple I have the privilege of serving.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road, but every challenge has shaped the way I run my business today. Like many entrepreneurs, I started while working a full-time job, which meant late nights, early mornings, and countless weekends dedicated to building my business. Learning to balance work, family, and entrepreneurship has been one of my biggest challenges.

Another hurdle has been learning that not every client or situation will go according to plan. Weddings are emotional, fast-paced, and often unpredictable. I’ve had to navigate timeline changes, unexpected weather, vendor issues, and last-minute emergencies while remaining calm and focused. Those experiences have taught me to be proactive, communicate clearly, and always have a backup plan.

Building a business from the ground up has also required wearing every hat—marketing, sales, client communication, accounting, content creation, and event execution. There were plenty of moments where I questioned myself, but I never questioned my purpose. Every obstacle has strengthened my confidence and reinforced why I do this. Today, I’m proud that couples trust me to handle one of the most important days of their lives, and I know those challenges have made me a better coordinator and business owner.

Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Elizabeth & Josephine Events and Coordination is a luxury wedding coordination company based in Central Texas, dedicated to creating a seamless, stress-free experience for couples. We specialize in day-of and month-of wedding coordination, allowing our couples to be fully present while we handle every timeline, vendor detail, and behind-the-scenes moment that makes a wedding day successful.

What sets us apart is our personalized approach. We intentionally take on a limited number of weddings so every couple receives the attention, communication, and care they deserve. We believe exceptional coordination isn’t just about logistics—it’s about creating an experience where couples, their families, and their vendors feel supported from beginning to end.

Our brand was built on the belief that every love story deserves to be celebrated with professionalism, intention, and genuine care. We strive to bring a calm presence into what can often be a stressful season, ensuring every detail is thoughtfully executed while allowing our couples to simply enjoy one of the most meaningful days of their lives.

As we continue to grow, our vision extends beyond wedding coordination. Elizabeth & Josephine Events is becoming a trusted event brand, expanding into rentals and other event services while remaining committed to the same level of excellence, hospitality, and personal connection that our clients have come to know and love.

Any big plans?
The future of Elizabeth & Josephine Events is incredibly exciting. While wedding coordination will always be at the heart of what we do, my vision is to grow the company into a full-service event brand that couples can trust from start to finish. I plan to expand into event rentals, including photo booths, marquee letters, and curated décor, allowing us to provide an even more seamless experience for our clients.

I’m also passionate about continuing to build a recognizable brand through education, social media, and meaningful relationships within the wedding industry. As the business grows, I hope to build a team that shares the same values of professionalism, hospitality, and genuine care, so we can serve even more couples without compromising the personalized experience we’re known for.

My ultimate goal is for Elizabeth & Josephine Events to become one of the most trusted names in luxury wedding coordination throughout Texas and beyond. More than anything, I want every couple who works with us to feel cared for, confident, and able to fully enjoy one of the most important days of their lives.
