Today we’d like to introduce you to Bruna Lima.
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I started my career very early, while I was still in college studying Public Relations in Brazil. Like many students, I struggled to find internships that didn’t require years of experience, so I chose to create my own opportunities. I launched a small fashion business that connected manufacturers directly to consumers and used content marketing to grow an audience, which eventually led to my first professional project developing an e-commerce website for a jewelry factor.
I later spent several years working at a marketing agency, collaborating with clients from different industries and building a strong strategic foundation. In 2020, driven by the desire for more autonomy and a deeper role in shaping brands, I transitioned into freelancing.
What began as freelance work evolved into Brander’s Studio, a branding studio focused on strategy, positioning, and brand experience. In 2024, I moved to Austin, Texas, and expanded Brander’s Studio into the U.S., drawn by the city’s creative and entrepreneurial energy.
Today, I work with clients internationally, helping businesses build clear, intentional brands that connect emotionally and grow sustainably.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road. One of the biggest challenges has been building and growing a business in a new country while simultaneously adapting to a completely different culture and environment.
Entrepreneurship is demanding on its own, but doing it abroad adds an extra layer of complexity. Immigration processes are often long, costly, and emotionally draining, and legal, financial, and business structures operate very differently from what I was used to. I had to relearn how everything works while adapting to a new culture, language, and business mindset.
Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Brander’s Studio is a branding and strategy studio focused on helping businesses build clear, intentional, and emotionally resonant brands. We work primarily with founders, growing companies, and established organizations that are looking to strengthen their positioning, communication, and overall brand experience.
Our focus goes beyond visuals. We specialize in brand strategy, positioning, messaging, and creative direction, helping businesses define strong brand foundations and translate strategy into execution. Our work also includes website development, and social media strategy and management, ensuring consistency across how the brand communicates, shows up online, and connects with its audience.
What sets Brander’s Studio apart is our strategic depth and personalized approach. Every project is fully customized, grounded in research, and built around the specific context of each business. We don’t follow formulas or trends, we focus on clarity, intention, and meaning, helping brands communicate who they truly are and why they matter.
What I’m most proud of is helping businesses gain clarity and confidence in how they present themselves in the market.
I want readers to know that Brander’s Studio works closely with businesses that want clarity in how they present themselves. The focus is on helping brands communicate more clearly, make better decisions, and feel confident in their positioning, rather than just looking good visually.
Do you have any advice for those looking to network or find a mentor?
For me, mentorship has come more from relationships than formal programs. The most valuable connections happened naturally through work, events, and shared projects.
When it comes to networking, what’s worked best is showing up consistently, having real conversations, and following up with intention. I’ve found that people are much more willing to help when there’s mutual respect and clarity about what you’re building. My advice is to focus on long-term relationships instead of quick wins, and to approach networking as a way to learn and contribute.
